Job description

Job Title: Senior Data Engineer

Location: Minneapolis, MN or Madison, WI

Duration: 6+ Months

Note :Only W2 no C2C

Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer with strong hands-on experience building and supporting modern data platforms. The ideal candidate will have expertise in cloud-based data engineering, data lakes, ETL/ELT development, and Lakehouse architectures. This is a fast-paced role requiring someone who can quickly contribute with minimal ramp-up time.

Required Skills

  • 7+ years of Data Engineering experience
  • Strong SQL and Python skills (PySpark preferred)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS or GCP acceptable)
  • Experience with Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS Gen2) or similar data lake technologies
  • Knowledge of Parquet file format and Lakehouse concepts (Delta Lake and/or Iceberg)
  • Hands-on experience with dbt (Core or Cloud)
  • Experience using GitHub, pull requests, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with one or more of the following:
  • Snowflake
  • Databricks
  • Microsoft Fabric
  • Strong understanding of data quality, validation, and production support

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines
  • Build data ingestion, transformation, and analytics-ready datasets
  • Develop data models and transformations using SQL and Python
