 Production & Installation Specialist   
POSITION DESCRIPTION

This position is responsible for all aspects of the physical production and installation of signs. Sign assembly includes preparing substrates and using the proper machines and techniques to construct products according to written instructions. Sign installation includes a variety of panel substrates, post & panels and application of pressure sensitive vinyls according to written instructions. This position must conduct quality assurance to ensure accurate fulfillment of projects.
There is a significant degree of customer interaction in this position.  Professional demeanor and appearance are required, along with a customer service focus.

RESPONSIBILITIES
           1.        Follow a layout to place computer cut vinyl or full color graphic image(s) on a predetermined substrate or medium. 
           2.        Prepare substrates for vinyl application. This may include cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning and maintaining the substrates for vinyl application.  
           3.        Use skillset to produce signs of various sizes, designs and materials.
           4.        Weed excess vinyl from computer cut images. Weeding techniques vary with size, type of vinyl and complexity of image.
           5.        Perform quality assurance measures pre- and post-production by accurately reading and interpreting a Work Order and then proofing for errors or unacceptable standards.
           6.        Perform finishing operations such as laminating, encapsulating, and/or mounting of printed pieces. 
           7.        Perform installations at customer locations or other off-site locations as necessary.
           8.        Communicate with other employees and customers in a calm and professional manner.
           9.        Help unload and store raw materials; clean and maintain storage areas. 
        10.        Work on multiple projects simultaneously.
        11.        Perform routine machine maintenance and minor repairs when necessary.
        12.        Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes.
        13.        Participate in and practice the brand mentality of “Everybody Sells”. Constantly be looking for sales opportunities for the center.
        14.        Follow instructions to accurately install a variety of signage, post and panels (dig holes) and full color graphic images in various circumstances.  Interior and Exterior. 
        15.        Follow/ maintain an accurate, digital schedule reflecting all installation commitments.  Set and achieve project deadlines.
        16.        Consult with sales staff to provide accurate estimates of labor time and to set realistic deadlines. 
        17.        Maintain strong lines of communication with sales staff and promptly answer messages/questions. Accurately relay project details to sales staff and customers.  
        18.        Adhere to industry standard safety practices.  Operate all tools and equipment according to specified safety requirements.
        19.        Perform advance site visits, obtaining and relaying necessary information for accurate quoting and production of product.
        20.        Report inventory levels and stock to be reordered to the center manager/production manager or franchise partner. 
        21.        Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes.
        22.        Must present and maintain a good driving record.  Safely operate all vehicles and promptly report any incidents/infractions.
 
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS
           1.        Ability to stand/ kneel for long periods of time.
           2.        Ability to lift 75 or more pounds.
           3.        Flexibility to lean over a waist-high table and use back and forth hand motion to apply vinyl letters and graphics to a surface.
           4.        General familiarity with safe operation of power equipment and general construction tools/methods.
           5.        Ability to fulfill projects in wide temperature variances and exterior weather conditions.
           6.        Safely climb ladders/scaffolding and operate hydraulic lift equipment as needed.
