Job Title: IT Database Engineer - Oracle DBA

Location: Pensacola, FL (Local or Nearby)

Duration: 4 -6 months+

Basic Purpose: To can plan, manage, and execute all aspects of life-cycle projects from inception through implementation. To develop project plans and deliver solutions on schedule and within budget in support of service innovations and organizational and process changes/enhancements. Assist the team with incidents related tickets, keeping-the-lights-on duties, process improvement and automation initiatives and all other Navy Federal Database services related efforts.

Required Skills:

* Minimum 3 years of experience in Oracle 11g and Oracle 12c industry hands-on administration

* Minimum 3 years of experience in Oracle Database Server Software Provisioning - Installation and Configuration in Unix/Windows OS Platform

* Minimum 3 years of experience in Oracle SQL/PLSQL Programming

* Minimum 2 years of experience with OEM Cloud Control 12c/13c, Alert/Event Monitoring and Configuration, Database and Patch Provisioning.

* Minimum 2 years of experience in actively monitoring and tuning production Oracle database systems using Diagnostic and Tuning Packs

* Strong knowledge of Oracle Database Concepts - Physical and Logical Implementation

* Must participate in a rotating on-call schedule with other DBAs

* Bachelor's Degree in a related field or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience Desired Skills:

* Familiarity with 3rd party backup tools like Tivoli Data Protection (TDP)

* Familiarity with encryption technologies such as TDE etc.

* Experience with High Availability solutions like Data Guard and RAC

* Knowledge of Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN), Oracle Enterprise User Security (EUS), Oracle SQL Loader, Oracle Database Pump (Export/Import), Oracle Trace File Analyzer (TFA), * Familiarity with Oracle Net (SQLNET, JDBC, ODBC, OCI)

* Knowledge and Experience in Unix Shell Scripting

* Foundation in ITIL
