Job Summary
The Lead Implementations Support Engineer is responsible for the technical delivery of new client cooperatives into the Blossom platforms. This role leads and mentors the Implementations team, ensuring successful end-to-end onboarding, including data migration, system setup, configuration, and go-live readiness. The Lead serves as the primary technical escalation point during implementations, drives automation of repeatable processes, and ensures high-quality, secure, and reliable implementations aligned with organizational standards.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Lead and mentor a team of implementation support engineers.
• Set priorities, manage workloads, and track team performance and delivery metrics.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Duties/ Responsibilities:
• Own the technical onboarding lifecycle for new cooperatives, from kickoff through go-live and hyper-care support.
• Lead data migration activities from external cores or digital banking providers into Blossom, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and integrity.
• Design, execute, and continually improve ETL processes and reconciliation controls for large-scale data loads.
• Perform and approve system setup and configuration to enable new clients to operate live on Blossom.
• Serve as the primary technical resource and escalation point for implementation-related incidents and blockers.
• Develop, standardize, and automate repeatable migration and setup workflows to improve speed, reliability, and consistency.
• Coordinate with Product, Engineering, DevOps, and Customer Success to align timelines, dependencies, and technical requirements.
• Lead technical reviews, validate readiness criteria, and ensure best practices are followed across implementations.
• Produce and maintain comprehensive implementation documentation, playbooks, and client-specific runbooks.
• Identify risks early, define mitigation and rollback plans, and communicate status clearly to stakeholders.
• Stay current on platform updates and ensure implementation practices evolve accordingly.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/ Abilities:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proven analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills in high-impact delivery environments.
• Expert proficiency in PostgreSQL and MySQL, including complex querying, data validation, and migration support.
• Strong knowledge of ETL development and automation for data migrations and transformations.
• Solid proficiency in JavaScript and Java, with the ability to understand and support core platform services and tools.
• Familiarity with mobile application publishing processes for Android and iOS.
• Ability to automate repetitive tasks and build reliable internal tools to support onboarding efficiency.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with a delivery-focused mindset.
• Knowledge of financial systems, cooperative banking operations, or similar regulated environments is a plus.
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience, required.
• At least 5 years of software engineering or systems implementation experience, including 1+ year of technical leadership.
• 3+ years of experience working with data migrations, ETL processes, and database support in production environments.
• 2+ years contributing to or supporting Java and JavaScript-based systems.
• Experience in financial services, fintech, or core banking implementations preferred.
Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
