In Proposals, these would be your responsibilities:

  • You will be involved in the Planning of projects as a member of the Pursuit team, you will be responsible for reading and understanding the RFP bid documents (schedule-related contractual requirements, drawings and specifications).

  • You will be responsible for creating the Schedule for the Pursuit in Primavera P6, ensuring that the durations and relationships have been vetted by Superintendents, subtrades, and/or our internal Production Rates database (as required) and ensuring that the format, quality and content of the schedule meets or exceeds EllisDon's Best Practices.

In Operations, these would be your responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for working with the project team to create the Baseline Schedule, ensuring that it meets or exceeds EllisDon's Best Practices in terms of format, layout, content and quality.

  • You will be responsible for updating the project scheduleon a monthly, weekly or as required basisfor each project assigned to you.

  • You will be responsible for reporting on the accuracy and reliability of the information provided.

  • Update information will include as-built dates, short-term forecasting, changes/delays information incorporating schedule impact, and potentially some resequencing of work to match the current execution plan.

  • You will be responsible for reporting on the status of all active projects assigned to you, and occasionally for generating specific reports for project teams. You will be responsible for attending and participating in internal project review meetings.

  • You will be responsible for identifying and incorporating resource and cost loading data into schedules and provide Earned Value Management (EVM) services as required.

  • You will provide support to project teams by developing microwork schedules, what-if scenarios, and Time-Impact-Analysis (TIA) schedules as required.

  • You would promote a proactive project management approach by recommending and explaining best practices in planning and scheduling to project team members (PM's & Superintendents).

  • Proactively identify problems or conflicts in the project schedule and assist the Project Manager or Superintendent in effectively managing a resolution.

Is this the right role for you?

  • You have minimum 1 year of construction scheduling experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience.

  • You have a working knowledge of computer scheduling programs including P6, MS Projects.Knowledge of TILOS and Acumen Fuse are also considered as asset.

  • You have the ability to manage the schedules for multiple projects simultaneously.

  • You have experience working as part of a construction project teamand have been exposed to on-site construction.

  • You communicate clearly and effectively, in alignment with EllisDon'sValues, and promote collaborative problem-solving.
