Job Summary
We are seeking an Oracle DBA / Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise database replication and Change Data Capture (CDC) solutions within modern cloud environments. This role is responsible for designing, deploying, and administering Oracle GoldenGate Microservices platforms, implementing cloud-based data movement solutions, and supporting enterprise database technologies across AWS and Azure. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Oracle databases, Oracle GoldenGate, cloud platforms, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and modern DevOps practices.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, deploy, administer, and support enterprise database replication and Change Data Capture (CDC) solutions.
• Implement and manage Oracle GoldenGate Microservices platforms for real-time data replication and synchronization.
• Design and support modern data movement solutions, including data streaming, replication, and change data capture technologies.
• Administer and support enterprise database platforms, including Oracle and other relational or distributed databases.
• Build and deploy cloud-based database solutions using AWS and Azure services.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using OpenTofu, Terraform, or similar automation tools.
• Develop automation scripts to streamline database administration, deployment, and operational processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and business teams to develop solutions that meet business requirements.
• Implement Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery/Deployment (CI/CD) practices to support database platform automation.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize database replication, performance, availability, and reliability.
• Apply software engineering best practices to improve database platform scalability, automation, and operational efficiency.
• Mentor and support team members by sharing technical expertise and promoting engineering best practices.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the database platform.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong expertise in at least two of the following database platforms: Oracle, YugabyteDB, Aerospike, SQL Managed Instance, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.
• Hands-on experience with data movement technologies, including data streaming, data replication, and Change Data Capture (CDC).
• Strong experience implementing and administering Oracle GoldenGate, including GoldenGate Microservices architecture.
• Experience designing, deploying, and supporting enterprise database replication solutions.
• Experience building and deploying cloud-based database solutions within AWS and Azure environments.
• Experience using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as OpenTofu or Terraform.
• Experience with scripting languages to automate database administration and deployment tasks.
• Experience implementing Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery/Deployment (CI/CD) practices.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and mentoring abilities.
• Passion for continuous learning and adopting emerging technologies.
