Job description

  1. Lead the phased migration of SQL Server.
  2. Perform comprehensive installation and configuration of SQL Server instances ,ensuring adherence to best practices and architectural standards.
  3. Conduct proactive database tuning and optimization to maintain peak health, performance, and stability for high-volume transactional systems.
  4. Execute robust data migration processes ensuring data consistency and integrity throughout the transition.
  5. Continuously review ongoing database changes, performing impact analysis to prevent disruptions and ensure operational continuity.
  6. Provide essential production support, demonstrating flexibility in working hours to address critical database incidents and ensure high availability.
  7. Collaborate closely with development and operations teams to support ongoing database needs and project requirements.

Qualifications:
  • Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a SQL Server Database Administrator.
  • Migration Expertise: Proven experience with SQL Server database migrations, ideally across different infrastructure platforms.
  • Performance Tuning: Strong knowledge and practical experience in SQL Server performance tuning and optimization.
  • Data Handling: Demonstrated ability to manage and maintain databases handling large amounts of data and high transaction volumes.
