Job description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented professional to support enterprise cloud migration initiatives with a focus on Microsoft Azure. In this role, you will help plan, execute, and optimize migration projects that move applications, infrastructure, and data into a secure, scalable, and well-governed cloud environment. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative mindset to guide teams through successful cloud adoption.

Responsibilities
  • Assess current on-premises and cloud environments to identify migration opportunities, risks, and dependencies.
  • Develop migration strategies, timelines, and implementation plans aligned with business and technical requirements.
  • Lead or support the migration of applications, virtual machines, databases, storage, and networking components to Azure.
  • Design secure, scalable, and cost-effective Azure architectures that support performance and operational goals.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, application, security, and operations teams throughout the migration lifecycle.
  • Perform environment discovery, application portfolio analysis, and readiness assessments.
  • Configure and optimize Azure services, including identity, networking, monitoring, backup, and governance tools.
  • Troubleshoot migration issues and provide remediation recommendations to ensure minimal disruption.
  • Support testing, validation, cutover, and post-migration stabilization activities.
  • Document technical designs, migration approaches, standards, and operating procedures.
  • Recommend modernization opportunities to improve reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Stay current on Azure services, best practices, and cloud migration methodologies.
Qualifications
  • Experience with cloud migration projects and hands-on work in Microsoft Azure environments.
  • Strong understanding of Azure services such as networking, identity and access management, compute, storage, and monitoring.
  • Experience with migration tools and methodologies for servers, applications, and databases.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure as code, automation, and configuration management concepts.
  • Familiarity with security, compliance, governance, and disaster recovery considerations in cloud environments.
  • Ability to analyze technical environments and translate findings into actionable migration plans.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work through complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple teams and priorities.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Microsoft Azure certifications such as Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect, or Azure Fundamentals.

  • Experience with automation tools such as PowerShell, Azure CLI, or ARM/Bicep templates.
