Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure performance, scalability, security, and availability of MySQL databases.
  • Prepare documentation, best practices, and specifications.
  • Work as an expert on MySQL implementation and design
  • Profile server resource usage, optimize and tweak as necessary
  • Provide guidance and expertise on tuning MySQL implementation
  • Help engineering teams migrate from Oracle to MySQL.
Qualifications

Tools/skills:

  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git / SVN
  • E/R Diagramming tools
  • MySQL Workbench
