Overview

The Digital Marketing Intern will gain a working knowledge of marketing at a top live entertainment arena by providing hands-on experience with venue management and digital marketing in the industry. The Digital Marketing Intern will support the Moody Center's digital footprint, inclusive of website, app, digital assets, email, and, on occasion, social media.ย 

Internshipย Details:ย 

  • Not to exceedย 20ย hours per weekย 
  • Internship Dates:ย Fallย 2026ย (Augustย -ย December)ย 
  • Location:ย This is anย on-site internship at Moody Center, Austin, Texas.ย 

This role pays an hourly rate of $13.00.

This role is expected to last from August 10, 2026, and will end on December 21, 2026

This position will remain open until October 16, 2026.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:ย 

  • Conduct research on DMAs, audience/fan demographics, and digital media trends to inform marketing and advertising strategy.ย 
  • Assist with uploading, scheduling, and maintaining content across all Moody Center digital platforms (social, email, website, and app).ย 
  • Support the execution of real-time social media activities and community management during event announcements, on-sales, and show days.ย 
  • Maintain and update email templates to ensure branding and tone consistency.ย 
  • Coordinate with the team on copywriting, asset requests, and campaign deliverables.ย 
  • Help fulfill all contractual digital deliverables for venue sponsors while brainstorming creative ways to exceed partner expectations.ย 
  • Research and recommend new ways to amplify Moody Center's presence across social, web, and app platforms, staying up to date on emerging tools and technologies.ย 
  • Serve as an on-site marketing representative for select events, including media escorting, sponsor activation support, partner implementation, and content capture.ย 
  • Capture engaging behind-the-scenes photo and video content on event days; create recap summaries or short videos to share with internal stakeholders.ย 
  • Assist with developing and curating creative content that helps grow Moody Center's email database and social media audiences.ย 
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the marketing team and leadership. Some nights and weekends will be required for events.ย

Qualifications
  • Interns must be currently enrolled as students at an accredited institution, which may include trade schools, community/junior colleges, or undergraduate or graduate programs
  • Previous coursework or experience in digital marketing, entertainment, music, sports management, or a related field.ย 
  • Experience with overall digital marketing strategy and music marketing is preferred, along with attention and anย eye for detail.ย 
  • Must be focused, highly organized, and able to continually prioritize while balancing multiple projects. ย 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail.ย 
  • Proven ability to follow instructions, collaborate within a team, and take initiative.ย 
  • Strategic thinker with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and execute tasks independently.ย 
  • Eagerness to learn and openness to coaching and feedback.ย 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel); familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite or social media management tools is a plus.ย 
  • Professionalism, integrity, and ability to handle sensitive information.ย 
  • Physical requirements include frequent walking, bending, and occasional lifting of heavy objects during events.ย
