Job Summary:
ClifyX is seeking an experienced Senior Developer who specializes in Informatica, Oracle database, and PL-SQL. The role involves designing solutions, conducting data analysis, and supporting a custom CRM application, specifically the analytical repository.
Responsibilities:
• Provides ETL processing subject matter expertise to client projects
• Designs and implements industry best ETL technologies to satisfy client requirements
• Designs and develops optimal code to maintain exceptional performance in processing large volumes of data across diverse sources
• Gathers and translates business requirements into analytical applications.
• Collaborates with other project members and drive the development of BI initiatives.
• Designs, develops, and tests ETL solutions including modeling data warehouse metadata and automating data loading processes.
• Establishes ETL environments according to project requirements
• Design and develop ETL processes to satisfy all program area requirements
• Develops and implements an efficient migration process to move ETL objects from development to test and production environments
• Understands database design, programming concepts, data modeling and framework management.
• Supports star schema modeling and implementation of a data warehouse
• Communicates ideas to both technical and non-technical people in all levels of the organization.
• Effectively communicates technical architecture details of INFORMATICA and other parts of the BI solution to others
• Develops advanced, and complex INFORMATICA
• Works with Business Analysts, Data Architects, Enterprise Architects and ETL Architects to ensure business requirements are being met with the solution being developed.
• Identify and reuse of ETL components and services to avoid duplicative implementations
• Mentor other team members in developing, documenting and modifying ETL components
• Support and administer the INFORMATICA environments
Qualifications:
Required:
• BA/BS in computer science or equivalent training
• Full understanding and experience in implementing BI solutions and data warehousing
• Full understanding of INFORMATICA 9 especially dealing with very large volumes of data, real time or micro batches
• Full comprehension of SQL, cardinality, levels of granularity, normalized vs de-normalized, handling of slowly changing dimensions, auditing, database and tool optimization techniques and other such data architecture best practices
• Data architecture and modeling experience implementing proper data structures for a BI solution using tools such as INFORMATICA and COGNOS
• Data Warehousing – 3-5 year(s)
• ETL – 3-5 year(s)
• Informatica – 3-5 year(s)
• Oracle/SQL – 3-5 year(s)
• Data transformation (ETL): 7+ Years Outstanding Informatica design and development abilities
• Experience in ETL performance tuning/optimization
• Experience working with complex Informatica transformations
• Strong experience identifying, researching, and resolving ETL issues and producing root cause analysis documentation
• Experience writing ETL specifications
• Experience developing complex ETL mappings
• Experience with Extraction, Transformation and Loading (ETL tools) to facilitate loading large amounts of data
• Experience with versioned repositories and configuration management
• Identifies areas of improvement
• Oracle Database: 7+ Years Understanding of Oracle PL/SQL techniques to write stored procedures, triggers and packages that analyze several million rows across several database tables
• Ability to grasp relational data models quickly and program using SQL and PL/SQL
• Clear understanding of SQL's analytical processing capabilities
• Understanding of Oracle dynamic SQL and ability to write complex procedures using dynamic SQL
• Familiarity with Oracle Data Partitioning techniques to manage, support and performance tune very large databases (VLDB's)
• Understanding of Parallel execution features of Oracle to dramatically reduce response times for data intensive operations
• Ability to write efficient PL-SQL procedures
• Design complete solutions
• Database / Other: 5+ Years Experience in the analysis, design, development & deployment of large scale databases
• Ability to write and understand complex SQL required
• Knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL best practices and development methodologies or standards - Stored Procedures, Packages, Triggers, Debugging, Tuning
• Unix OS: 5+ Years Experience working with Unix servers
• Experience with Shell scripting
• Strong ETL design and development abilities, PL-SQL and Stored Procedures to upload data from different sources
Preferred:
• INFORMATICA 8 or 9 certification
• Scrum Master Experience or Certification
• Experience in the design and development of data warehousing
• Data modeling Experience
• Data Warehousing experience
