Job Summary:
Dark Wolf is seeking a talented and passionate Database Engineer to join their dynamic team. The role involves installation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of Oracle database systems, as well as troubleshooting issues and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Installation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of Oracle database systems to ensure high performance, security, and availability.
โ€ข Designing and implementing database schemas, monitors database health, and performs routine backups and recovery operations to safeguard mission-critical data.
โ€ข Troubleshooting database-related issues, managing user access and permissions, and optimizing queries to enhance system performance.
โ€ข Ensuring compliance with organizational policies and industry standards while staying current on updates, patches, and advancements in Oracle technologies.
โ€ข Provide full lifecycle systems and software engineering support, including technical reviews, design, development, integration, certification, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
โ€ข Conduct technical, architectural, and process assessments, analyzing user requirements, interface needs, and evaluating impacts on systems and the enterprise.
โ€ข Ensure compliance with, and contribute to the development/improvement of, engineering standards, policies, and configuration management procedures.
โ€ข Support security evaluations (e.g., STIG process) for software and hardware throughout the program lifecycle.
โ€ข Develop and review program documentation (e.g., requirements, plans, RFPs) and provide input for technical and program management reviews.
โ€ข Provide direct engineering and acquisition support to program leadership (Chief Engineer, PM, FM), leveraging knowledge of acquisition reforms.
โ€ข Coordinate and assist with test events, including developing test plans and reports.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
โ€ข Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in support of the DoD:
โ€ข Experience working with Ansible playbooks and automation
โ€ข Completing Oracle updates and patches, and supporting Oracle Database changes to include data, schema, triggers, and tables
โ€ข Experience in supporting Oracle Database changes to include data, schema, triggers, and tables
โ€ข Automation coding using Python
โ€ข Experience supporting Redhat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
โ€ข Strong knowledge and experience of DoD and AF acquisition processes, policies, procedures, and statutory/regulatory requirements
โ€ข Strong knowledge and experience implementing the DoD Systems Engineering 'V' Model
โ€ข Certifications: Security+ or Security+ CE
โ€ข US Citizenship and an active TS/SCI security clearance.
