Description
Client Solution Architects (CSA) is currently seeking a Database Administrator (DBA) to support a program onsite* in the Washington DC area.
For nearly 50 years, CSA has delivered integrated technology and operational support services to meet the defense and federal sector's most complex enterprise needs. Working from operations centers and shipyards to training sites and program offices, CSA deploys experienced teams, innovative tools and proven processes to advance federal missions.
*Onsite/Hybrid/Remote work schedules subject to change based on contract requirements.This position is contingent upon award.
How Role will make an impact:
  • Provide comprehensive database administration and maintenance support for all current and future systems.
  • Administer, support, and maintain Oracle and Microsoft SQL database management systems and applications.
  • Resolve ad hoc trouble tickets that do not require a full lifecycle development approach.
  • Troubleshoot portal sites and user accounts, modify existing portal sites, and manage portal site permissions.
  • Execute core database administration tasks, including performance tuning, routine maintenance, backups, and archiving.
  • Perform system management and administrative functions, conduct update and upgrade testing, and maintain a complete and accurate library of system documentation.
  • Collaborate with the Information Owner to compile and maintain a complete, accurate data catalog.
  • Create repeatable, automated processes for database administration tasks in coordination with Engineering, DBA, and System Administration teams to maximize efficiency.
  • Provide backend database development for both legacy and future systems, including developing applications from inception based on gathered requirements.
  • Create, update, and archive databases as required to support development and operational needs.
  • Engineer a scalable and highly secure testing environment utilizing principles such as Zero Trust, least privilege, multi-factor authentication, identity providers, and other emerging security concepts.
  • Minimize cloud hosting costs through continuous analysis, resource reduction, and the utilization of scalable technologies like containerization.
  • Provide robust support for prototypes, pilot applications, and full-scale engineering projects.
  • Manage projects using established project management and lifecycle development approaches, producing required management plans and system documentation.
  • Offer guidance on policy and governance for all developed items.
  • Fully document all technical processes and system functionality.
  • Deliver all completed application and database source code to the Government.

Requirements
What you'll need to have to join our award-winning team:
  • Clearance: Must possess and maintain an active Secret Clearance
  • 5 years of experience with Oracle and Microsoft SQL databases
  • Hold Relevant Certification/s (eg. Oracle Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert)
