Job description

Design, develop, optimize, and support enterprise database solutions across Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server platforms using deep expertise in PL/SQL and T-SQL, strong data modeling and performance tuning experience, and a proven ability to develop scalable, secure, and high-performing database solutions that support critical business applications.
This role requires collaboration with software developers, business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to analyze requirements, implement database solutions, and ensure the integrity, availability, and performance of organizational data assets.
Ideal candidates will have experience beyond database development, including Azure Data Factory (ADF), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), and Microsoft .NET development.
Essential Duties:
• Design, develop, test, and maintain complex database solutions using Oracle PL/SQL and Microsoft SQL Server T-SQL.
• Create and optimize stored procedures, functions, packages, triggers, views, and database objects.
• Design logical and physical data models to support business requirements.
• Develop scalable database architectures and data structures for enterprise applications.
• Implement database standards, naming conventions, and development best practices.
• Analyze and optimize SQL queries, execution plans, indexing strategies, and database performance.
• Monitor and troubleshoot database bottlenecks, locking issues, and resource utilization.
• Conduct performance tuning activities to improve application responsiveness and scalability.
• Implement database partitioning, indexing, and optimization strategies
• Develop and support data migration, integration, and ETL processes.
• Design and maintain interfaces between enterprise systems.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across platforms.
• Support data warehousing and reporting initiatives.
• Partner with business stakeholders to gather and analyze technical requirements.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers.
• Participate in architecture reviews and strategic technology initiatives.
• Conduct code reviews and promote development best practices.
• Implement database security controls and access management.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
• Support backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and business continuity initiatives.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field or 7+ years of equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of database development experience in enterprise environments.
• 5+ years of advanced Oracle PL/SQL development experience.
• 5+ years of advanced Microsoft SQL Server T-SQL development experience.
• Experience designing and supporting high-volume transactional databases.
• Experience integrating data across multiple systems and platforms.
• Expert-level Oracle PL/SQL development.
• Expert-level Microsoft SQL Server T-SQL development.
• Advanced SQL query design and optimization.
• Database performance tuning and troubleshooting.
• Data modeling and database design.
• ETL development and data migration.
• Experience with database version control and deployment processes.
• Strong understanding of relational database concepts and normalization.
• Preferred certifications include Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate, and Microsoft SQL Server certifications.
Pay for the role is weighted on several factors and base salary is expected to start $135-140K with annual bonus potential.
