We’re engineering for the future of retail, and it’s no-holds-barred. But for those motivated by continual change and ambiguity, by superior leadership, by whip smart colleagues who will press you daily for your very best, you’ll find that virtually nothing’s impossible at Ulta Beauty.

THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE:

  • Partner closely with Enterprise Architecture and AI teams to align SAP AI initiatives with enterprise AI strategy, governance, and standards.
  • Work with Enterprise integration team to enable event driven architecture for SAP systems
  • Define and govern SAP BTP architecture, including services, environments, security, networking, and lifecycle management.
  • Design and guide the development of AI-enabled and cloud-native applications on SAP BTP supporting corporate, distribution center, and store operations.
  • Lead architectural decisions around event-driven architectures, APIs, and integration patterns; establish standards for API design, governance, and reuse within SAP space.
  • Provide architectural oversight and guidance for ABAP & Fiori application design, ensuring usability, performance, extensibility, and intelligent user experiences.
  • Define and oversee CI/CD pipelines, deployment strategies, and DevSecOps processes for SAP and BTP solutions.
  • Serve as a key advisor on HANA database architecture, performance, and optimization strategies.
  • Partner with BASIS, functional, security, and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot complex technical issues and ensure platform stability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver transformation initiatives that incorporate automation, intelligence, and AI-driven insights.
  • Mentor and guide developers and architects, promoting innovation while maintaining architectural discipline.

ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in the SAP technical domain, including development, with a strong understanding of SAP functional areas.
  • 2–3 years of experience as an SAP Technical Architect on S/4HANA and SAP BTP platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of S/4HANA Supply Chain, Logistics, and Finance modules, with understanding of retail and fashion industry business processes.
  • Deep expertise in SAP BTP architecture, services, administration, and security models.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP AI capabilities (e.g., Joule, AI Core, AI services) and integrating AI solutions into SAP business processes.

  • Strong understanding of HANA database architecture and performance considerations.
  • Architectural-level understanding of design and development of scalable custom SAP solutions.
  • Experience with event-driven architecture, intelligent integrations, and API-led connectivity.
  • Strong understanding of API standards, design principles, and governance frameworks, including API management platforms.
