Candidates must be work 3 days on site in Fairfax, VA
Duration: 6-month contract-to-hire
Clearance: Must have or be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance (US Citizen/Green Card holder, resided in the US for the past 5 years, eligible to pass drug screening/background check)
Seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support and enhance an existing Java-based enterprise application. This role involves full lifecycle development, including maintenance, new development, and production support.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain and enhance Java/Eclipse/WebSphere applications
  • Perform design, development, testing, and implementation
  • Develop and optimize Oracle PL/SQL and SQL queries
  • Write and support C/C++ code
  • Create and maintain UNIX/Linux shell scripts and Perl scripts
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
  • Collaborate with team members on system design and development
  • Ensure adherence to software engineering best practices and quality standards
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 10+ years of software development experience
  • Strong experience with:
    • Java, Eclipse, WebSphere
    • Oracle (PL/SQL, SQL tuning)
