Senior DBA and Software Architect - Q Clearance Required
Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Database Administrator (DBA) and Software Architect to provide senior-level expertise in the design, development, administration, security, performance, and architecture of enterprise database environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases, data modeling, database design, performance tuning, replication, distributed database environments, and high-availability solutions. This role will also support database architecture, software integration, data security, and the development and implementation of database policies and procedures. The successful candidate will work closely with Database Administrators, software developers, architects, and technical teams on complex enterprise projects while ensuring solutions follow current technologies and industry best practices.

Education:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Information Technology, Computer Science, Database Administration, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in database modeling, design, administration, maintenance, development, and implementation.
  • Extensive experience with Oracle and/or Microsoft SQL Server database environments.
  • Experience developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure database security, integrity, availability, and performance.
  • Experience maintaining database dictionaries and supporting enterprise system integration.
  • Experience working with Database Administrators on complex database and software projects.
  • Experience reviewing, evaluating, designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise databases.
  • Experience identifying data sources and developing data decomposition diagrams, data flow diagrams, and process documentation.
  • Experience developing database access and modification code, including stored procedures.
  • Experience implementing data models, database designs, data access solutions, and table maintenance code.
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving Oracle and/or Microsoft SQL Server performance issues.
  • Experience addressing database capacity, replication, high availability, and distributed database issues.
  • Experience with enterprise database architecture and integration.
  • Strong understanding of database security, access controls, backup/recovery, disaster recovery, and data integrity.
  • Ability to evaluate emerging database technologies and apply recommended practices within highly available enterprise environments.
  • Experience providing technical guidance and working collaboratively with DBAs, software developers, system architects, and other technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and technical problem-solving skills.
