Job description

ROLE
We need an experienced Legal Analyst to support the U.S. Department of Justice with healthcare fraud and opioid-related cases. This is a full-time opportunity in which we'll provide competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and job stability and security. Apply today!
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform standard legal support job responsibilities
  • Assist with pleadings, discovery, briefs, bankruptcy petitions, etc.
  • Perform critical thinking and analytical activities
  • Review legal instruments
  • Verify that legal information is complete and accurate
  • Confirm that legal information is ready for proper execution
  • Assist attorneys and legal support staff
  • Conduct legal research for cases
  • Gather facts for cases and routine reports
  • Use legal databases for research and discovery
  • Evaluate and determine the correction of an action
  • Research legal records to ascertain conditions that might preclude an action
  • Help with scanning, exporting and importing data, etc.
  • Perform initial review of petitions
  • Support case management
  • Maintain case files
  • Prepare memorandums, reports and correspondence
  • Take notes and prepare follow-on documentation
  • Work with technologies such as but not limited to IPRO, CaseMap, QuickBooks, and Microsoft

BACKGROUND
  • Progressive and relevant experience

EDUCATION
  • Paralegal Certificate
  • Strong preference for an Associate degree or some college education
  • Preference for Bachelor's degree

LOCATION
  • Providence, RI 02903

TELEWORK
  • Up to two (2) days per week

CLEARANCE
  • U.S. citizenship required since this role supports the U.S. federal government

CLIENT

WORK HOURS
  • 40 hours per week
