Samaritan's Purse is seeking a Data Analyst to join our U.S Rebuild team in North Wilkesboro, NC. As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for the collection, analysis, and dissemination of data for all areas of U.S. Rebuild, including the acquisition and preparation of data from various sources, both within and outside the ministry. You will facilitate communication and translation of key findings to leadership and other key stakeholders. This position will primarily use PeopleSoft Financials, Knime, Esri, and Onbase software for analysis and reporting, with the potential to implement and support other types of software to optimize the department's performance. You will also be responsible for implementing and supporting other applications and technologies to enhance U.S. Rebuild programs. Come and use your gifts daily to advance the Gospel!
In the role of Data Analyst,you will have the opportunity to:
  • Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ
  • Lead the data management efforts of U.S Rebuild and provide analysis of that data to key leaders in order to allow data-driven decision-making
  • Analyze, interpret, and visualize data from numerous internal and external sources to support Rebuild Program efforts, including program scope analysis, budget projections, operational effectiveness, and performance reporting
  • Build relationships and support the Rebuild and Manufactured Home teams, Volunteer Relations and Field Support, Office Administration and Finance, Beneficiary Services, Casework, Inventory, and other teams and systems through the development and maintenance of reports, maps, dashboards, applications, and processes related to managing rebuild, volunteer, beneficiary, and financial data
  • Retrieve and transform data through Application Programming Interface (APIs) and integrations with new and existing applications, and through the use of Extract, Transform & Load (ETL) tools such as Feature Manipulation Engine (FME) and Knime.
  • Offer informed and creative recommendations on how to use existing internal and external data for analysis, trend observation, and growth, and recommend acquisition of new data sources through internal or external partnerships to support the needs of the department
  • Develop and maintain documentation and training for U.S Rebuild staff and volunteers on the use of reports, maps, and dashboards
  • Understand and be prepared to backfill for other roles on the U.S Rebuild Technology & Data team by developing familiarity with the PeopleSoft, Pro Core and Case Management tools as well as general application support and project management processes
  • Provide on-call department technology support, to include after-hours and weekend support, on a rotating schedule
  • Other duties may be assigned that are not specifically identified in the job description.

What are the qualifications?

As a qualified candidate, you will have the following skills and experience:
  • Bachelor's degree (strongly preferred) in Geographic Information Systems, Geography, Computer Science, or closely related discipline, and three (3) to five (5) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials system, Core Contractor Software, Esri ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online and/or ArcGIS Enterprise Portal, Street Map, mobile GIS technology, GPS, enterprise databases, and/or their equivalents, and general CRM software knowledge
  • Ability to curate and document libraries of internal and external datasets and resources
  • Ability to create, execute, and refine complex spatial analysis workflows
  • Experience with Python and/or ArcGIS ModelBuilder (strongly preferred)
  • Familiarity with and/or experience working within ArcGIS Enterprise environments (preferred)
  • Experience with Extract, Transform & Load (ETL) software (preferred)
