Job Summary:
Real Chemistry is looking for a Director, Real World Data to join our growing team!
At Real Chemistry we're powering cross-functional teams with real-world data and advanced analytics to drive results for cross-functional teams throughout the lifecycle. Anchored by a rich longitudinal patient database, combined with market leading ML capabilities, Real Chemistry is laser focused on the transformation of data into actionable insights and commercialization strategies.
The Director has a multi-faceted role, with a primary responsibility for exceptional client delivery and strong client relationships. The Director also plays an active role in the sales process, communicating the value of Real Chemistry and uniquely identifying solutions to clients' business problems. Therefore, this role will straddle both sales and delivery, and provide a critical linkage between the two functions. Given the wide range of the Director's responsibilities, a seasoned understanding of the evolving pharmaceutical market (precision medicine, omnichannel data analytics, patient level data integration, etc.), strong client-facing communication skills/language, and experience working with or at agencies are critical to success.
Travel within the region is estimated at 20%.
This is a hybrid role, based in any of our US offices-including New York City, Boston, Chicago, Carmel, Lambertville, or San Francisco-or remotely within the US, depending on team and business needs.
What you'll do:
Delivery
The Director will lead multiple, parallel consulting engagements leveraging health claims data to address client needs. The role will encompass both external, client-facing and internal project leadership responsibilities. The delivery role will involve solutioning for internal Real Chemistry teams as well as external clients, and the clear and detailed translation of sold engagements to the operations team for analysis, while simultaneously managing ongoing project delivery. The Director maintains proactive and consistent communication across client and delivery teams. Responsibilities to include:
  • Understand the agency environment to design and develop strategies, methodologies, and solutions to support advertising, communications, medical, media, and commercially-focused clients.
  • Facilitate and manage all project communication needs, including client-facing communications and internal communications
  • Act as single point of contact with the following parties: Managing Principal, Client, Sales Lead, and Operations team (ongoing and consistent communication with all parties critical for delivery success)
  • Create and maintain delivery timelines in conjunction with client and internal teams
  • Maintain appropriate scope for ongoing client engagements and follow-ups, while managing a portfolio of client engagements
  • Conduct thorough quality control (QC) measures and pressure-test analysis outputs based on desk research and experiential logic
  • Derive insights and create PowerPoint stories from secondary claims data that address client needs/questions, with comfort delivering presentations to internal teams or brand/analytics teams within external organizations

Business Development
The Director also proactively identifies and qualifies leads, supporting teams across the agency to develop, assess, and solution for multiple qualified opportunities at any given time. The Director understands unique client business problems and translates solutions into sales support materials and development of sales-related presentations. Responsibilities include:
  • Cultivate relationships with existing clients and contacts within the biopharma industry, generate interest for Real Chemistry analytics offerings, and translate to sales opportunities
  • Identify client opportunities proactively, and work with Managing Principal and sales team to qualify and pursue sales leads
  • Support the Managing Principal and Sales Lead in developing sales materials for identified opportunities
  • Design and develop strategies and methodologies to deliver against client needs, and translate into compelling sales and pitch materials
  • Understand the dynamic competitive landscape and successfully position Real Chemistry in competitive selling situations
  • Assist the Managing Principal and Sales Lead in managing client relationships
  • Assist the Managing Principal and Sales Lead in identifying upselling opportunities

This position is a perfect fit for you if:
  • Our Company values - Best Together, Impact-Obsessed, Excellence Expected, Evolve Always and Accountability with an "I" - really speak to you.
  • You are adaptable, resilient, and OK with adjusting your scope, responsibilities, and focus as we grow. When things change, so do we. We're always evolving.
  • You are proactive, driven, and resourceful with strong prioritization skills and a desire to dive into the data.
  • You are highly organized self-starter, able to work independently and under tight deadlines.

What you should have:
  • 10+ years of relevant experience using real-world data to develop and implement cross-functional solutions in large organizations
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree strongly preferred (MBA, MPH, PhD, PharmD, MD, MS, or equivalent) in economics, epidemiology, public health, biostatistics, health services research, business, marketing, communications, or related discipline.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the development of productized solutions utilizing real-world data to support advertising, communications, medical, media, and commercial clients.
  • Strong project/program leadership experience, including managing teams on complex, multi-workstream engagements and ensuring scientific and editorial quality.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and executive communication skills; ability to craft clear narratives from technical analyses.

Pay Range: $105,000 - $150,000
This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on job-related, non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, skills, certifications, and geographical location.
