Role Description
The Assistant Warehouse manager must be able to multitask, delegate work as necessary and oversee and or perform a variety of functions. The primary responsibility is to ensure all Asset amp; warehouse storage orders are picked, packed, and shipped and inbound product is received as quick as possible in an accurate manner. This position will also perform various light housecleaning and basic building maintenance repairs as needed.
Responsible for managing the asset management software program that databases client inventories and inventory activities. Provides technical support to warehouse staff, produces reports for clients and dealership, and ensures accuracy of inventory through double-checks and cycle count processes.
Detailed Responsibilities
Warehouse:
  • Manage warehouse staff when necessary, performing this role in a backup position to Warehouse Manager.
  • Maintain warehouse facility in a clean, neat and highly organized manner; ensure the integrity and security of all assets including: product, equipment, tools, supplies and other assets in use.
  • Maintain warehouse equipment and building components with multiple vendors
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of building electrical systems and sprinkler systems
  • Enforce safety policies and procedures throughout the facility. Ensure all equipment is in clean and safe working condition.
  • Train new employees in all departmental procedures including completion or paperwork, notification policies, and use of equipment such as forklifts and order pickers.
  • Additional projects as required by the Warehouse Manager.
Shipping/Receiving/Reporting:
  • Operate WMS software and systems’
  • Assist with day-to-day processing of shipping and receiving
  • Interact with external and internal customers on a professional level
  • Unload, stage and receive in LOTH’s ERP system - new furniture orders
  • Help maintain Returned Goods Area
  • Able to create Delivery/Picking Tickets to pull product
  • Able to load LOTH Trucks for daily deliveries amp; projects
  • Ensure product is received for various accounts on a timely basis
  • Maintain and report shipment and labor data
  • Ability to perform some administrator roles with a “shopping cart” order system
  • Send out monthly warehouse square footage billings
  • Track, maintain amp; report monthly warehouse revenue report
  • Invoice customers monthly for labor and shipping
Asset Management:
  • Manage the Asset Management business
  • Sets up initial client database in inventory software; research client's product to ensure accurate identification of manufacturer, model number, finish nomenclature, etc.
  • Inputs initial inventory from inventory sheets; validates accuracy of product part numbers and helps ensure completeness of database
  • Sets up any special reports required by the customer
  • Manages Customer Inventory: Inputs all in and out transactions from inventory tracking sheets
  • Works with warehouse inventory staff to do regular cycle counts to validate inventory quantities
  • Prints and distributes reports to customers on regular or agreed upon basis
  • Manages and distributes inventory billing reports to appropriate dealership personnel
  • Responds to customer requests and inquiries for clarifications or updates on inventory products
Required Education and Experience
  • Associate’s degree and/or equivalent work experience
  • Computer Skills - Strong working knowledge of MS Office and ability to master new, complex computer systems
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures when necessary – not done on a regular basis.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License
  • Certified to Operate forklift and order picker, not afraid of heights
  • Ability to stand for extended period of time
Preferred Experience
  • Supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of multiple furniture product lines, installations, applications, and labor pricing
  • Forklift Certified or willing to be certified. Experience with cherry picker.
