GENERAL SUMMARY

The IT Manager for Data Analytics is an IT professional who harnesses the power of data to develop new business models, improve productivity, and accelerate business results through data‑based insights. This individual partners with business teams to document mapping tables, business rules, and business logic required to transform transactional data from various sources (including ERP systems) into analytical data of value. The role also provides leadership in managing the analytics platform, ensuring data models, pipelines, and BI infrastructure are designed, governed, and operationally reliable. This includes the delivery of dashboards, scorecards, standard reports, ad hoc self‑service reports, discovery and analysis, predictive analytics, and comprehensive visualizations.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Establish strong, productive relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Define and maintain the appropriate governance structure for Data and Analytics, including prioritization, sequencing of work, and effective resource allocation.
  • Translate BI and analytics needs into clear requirements by conducting requirements‑gathering sessions with key functions such as Finance, Product Management, Commercial, Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, and Supply Chain teams. This includes understanding key KPIs, identifying required data, and designing dashboards and reports that enable KPI analysis and improvement.
  • Lead a team of approximately four technical professionals to deliver projects and support the company’s data analytics and digital infrastructure and low‑code platforms such as Power Apps.
  • Manage the team’s talent lifecycle, including hiring, retaining, developing, training, and mentoring technical staff.
  • Lead deployment activities and implement strategy across ETL, MDM, data modelling, data transformation, and analytics reporting.
  • Gather, analyze, and identify opportunities for enhancements; collaborate with business and technology partners to resolve issues and deliver continuous improvements.
  • Design, implement, and deploy enterprise business solutions that support profitable growth and process maturity.
  • Define engagement success criteria with business users, monitor progress, and ensure all deliverables meet expectations.
  • Ensure data security, access control, and compliance with corporate policies for all analytics platforms, data models, dashboards, and data pipelines.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, consultants, and technology partners to ensure effective delivery, contract value, and alignment with the analytics roadmap.
  • Design, support, and enhance the corporate data warehouse and associated data models.
  • Identify and implement improvements to the existing BI infrastructure, including evaluating and adopting new technologies aligned with the long‑term roadmap.
  • Create documentation to help business users and IT team members effectively use the developed solutions.
  • Deliver against the data strategy through the development and deployment of executive dashboards, operational dashboards, standard reports, ad hoc reports, discovery and analysis, and predictive analytics.
  • Maintain and manage the Data & Analytics budget, ensuring alignment with priorities, cost efficiency, and optimal resource utilization.

Preferred:

    • Power BI, Microsoft reporting technologies, and data mining.
    • SAP data structures, SAP Basis, SAP transactions and processes, SAP XI, and iDocs.
    • SAP BODS / SAP Data Services (ETL/MDM workflows).
    • SAP Information Steward.
    • Experience implementing Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Pipelines, Warehouse, Semantic Models).
    • AI / advanced analytics exposure, including predictive modelling, ML concepts, and responsible AI practices.
    • Power Apps or Power Platform development knowledge.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Data and Analytics technologies and their implementation in large corporate environments, including data integration, modelling, and BI/reporting platforms.
  • Experience working with enterprise systems such as SAP (including SAP DS/BODS) and modern analytics technologies such as Power BI and Microsoft data platforms.
  • Prior experience leading technical teams or managing analytics/BI resources is preferred.
