Exciting Opportunity for Experienced Drilling & Completions Data Analyst II in Denver, CO
Join a dynamic team supporting innovative upstream oil & gas operations in the heart of Denver! We're seeking a skilled Drilling & Completions Data Analyst II to play a pivotal role in transforming complex data into actionable insights. This is your chance to work at the forefront of the energy industry, leveraging your analytical expertise to drive operational efficiency, optimize well delivery, and support strategic decision-making.
In this critical role, you will partner closely with Drilling & Completions, Operations, and Engineering teams to develop robust dashboards, automate processes, and deliver high-quality data solutions that directly impact business outcomes. If you thrive in a fast-paced, data-driven environment and have a passion for oil & gas operations, we want to hear from you!
Required Skills:
  • 3+ years of professional experience as a Data or Business Intelligence Analyst
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with complex SQL development, including CTEs, subqueries, joins, window functions, and data modeling
  • 2+ years of experience building and managing Power BI and/or Spotfire dashboards
  • Strong understanding of relational databases and data visualization best practices
  • Proficiency in Excel for data analysis
  • Ability to work independently and communicate complex findings effectively

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Knowledge of upstream oil & gas metrics and operations
  • Experience with OpenWells, Landmark, or PPDM-based systems
  • Programming skills in Python or R for advanced analytics
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps)
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
  • Knowledge of data version control (Git, Azure DevOps)

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Finance, or a related field
  • 3+ years supporting operations or engineering teams in a data-centric environment

Other Requirements:
  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule in downtown Denver, CO (Tuesday-Thursday in-office, remainder remote)
  • Experience with drill and completions data, operational KPIs, and asset hierarchies is highly desirable
  • Must have or be willing to obtain relevant certifications as appropriate
