Job Description

The Analytics Engineer serves as the bridge between business stakeholders and enterprise data platforms, transforming complex data into scalable solutions, trusted reporting, and actionable insights. This role combines analytics, business intelligence, and data engineering capabilities to support decision-making across Marketing, Customer Service, Commercial, and Business teams. The position is responsible for partnering with stakeholders to define KPIs, improve business processes, and drive measurable outcomes through data, then designing and maintaining those data pipelines, reporting frameworks, and analytics solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop Advanced Analytics Solutions: Design and build dynamic, multi-layered reports and dashboards in Power BI, SQL-based data transformations, and reporting layers to provide deep insights into marketing, commercial, and business KPIs.
  • Strategic Data Analysis & Business Insights: Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, inefficiencies, and root causes of operational challenges. Translate findings into strategic recommendations that drive business improvements and cost reductions.
  • Data-Driven Decision Support: Collaborate closely with stakeholders in marketing, business partners, and commercial teams planning to align analytical efforts with business objectives. Provide actionable insights to executive leadership and decision-makers.
  • Data Engineering & Platform Optimization: Design, develop, and maintain scalable datasets, data models with SQL/Python, ETL/ELT processes, and enterprise reporting solutions. Support analytics platform modernization initiatives, including migration, implementation, optimization, and integration of enterprise data platforms.
  • Automation & Scalability: Develop and implement automated data pipelines and reporting solutions that reduce manual effort and improve data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility.
  • Stakeholder Communication & Business Partnership: Serve as a trusted advisor to business partners, defining requirements for business questions, effectively communicating complex data findings in a clear and actionable manner. Foster a data-driven culture across teams.
  • Continuous Improvement & Adaptability: Establish a feedback loop for refining analytics models, ensuring insights remain relevant to evolving business needs and industry trends.
  • Data Integrity & Governance: Troubleshoot data-related issues, ensuring high levels of accuracy, integrity, and consistency across all reports and analyses. Work proactively to enhance data quality and governance frameworks.
  • Predictive & Prescriptive Analytics: Utilize statistical modeling and forecasting techniques to drive proactive decision-making.
  • Project Leadership: Lead and manage high-impact analytics initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with organizational goals.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 5+ years of experience in data analytics, with a strong background in operations and supply chain.
  • SQL: 5+ years experience
  • Python: 3+ years experience
  • Power BI/Tableau: 5+ years experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI, SQL, and Excel, with experience in automation and scripting.
  • Strong experience with data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, data pipelines, system integrations, and cloud-based analytics platforms.
  • Strong understanding of financial and marketing metrics and how they influence business performance.
  • Experience with predictive modeling, regression analysis, and correlation techniques.
  • Ability to distinguish signal from noise in complex datasets, providing clear insights for leadership.
  • Proven track record of developing scalable, long-term analytical solutions.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead and execute initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Experience working with Databricks is a plus.
