The Data Visualization Specialist is a creative and detail-oriented professional responsible for designing and developing a wide range of visual communication products. This mid-level role requires a strong foundation in graphic design principles and the ability to translate complex data into clear and compelling visuals. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and collaborative team player, capable of managing multiple projects and consistently delivering high-quality work that aligns with the agency's branding and strategic goals.

Requirements

Duties May Include:

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Graphic Design and Content Creation - Design and produce a variety of print and digital materials, including reports, presentations, marketing collateral, and web graphics. Ensure all visual products adhere to established branding and style guides.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Data Visualization - Transform statistical data and complex information into accessible and engaging visual graphics, such as charts, graphs, and diagrams.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Web and SharePoint Managementย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  - Update and maintain the agency's website and SharePoint sites, ensuring all content is current, accurate, and visually appealing.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Recommend and implement improvements to website design, navigation, and user experience.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Project Management and Collaboration - Manage project tasks, prioritize workload, and effectively multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Required Skills:

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Education - A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Communications, Design or Software Engineering related fields such as Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Communication Design, Software Development, Illustration, and others.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Experience - Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in graphic design, data visualization, or a related field. Experience working in a government or corporate environment is preferred. In lieu of a degree, 10+ years of experience.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Core Skills - Strong communication, interpersonal, and time-management skills. Creative and artistic ability with a keen eye for detail.ย  Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Technical Skills - Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel). Experience with web content management systems, particularly SharePoint.

Desired Skills:

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Experience advising or providing guidance on visual information policies and procedures.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Familiarity with GEOINT Products and Services to include knowledge of their purpose, application, and dissemination
