Job Summary:
MaineHealth is seeking a Senior Visualization Architect who will serve as the organization's authority on data visualization. This role involves ensuring that analytical outputs are accurately communicated and actionable, while also leading the design of high-visibility data products and establishing visualization standards.
Responsibilities:
• Establish and enforce visualization standards
• Lead the design of complex and high-visibility data products
• Elevate the capabilities of the broader analytics team
• Identify and correct designs that could mislead or distort understanding
• Translate complex data into intuitive, credible, and impactful narratives that drive informed action
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in data science, information design, computer science, health informatics, statistics, or a related field required.
• More than 5 years of experience in a data visualization or business intelligence role, with demonstrated expertise in health system or similarly complex analytical environments required.
Preferred:
• Master's degree or formal training in information design, data visualization, or a related field preferred.
• Portfolio demonstrating advanced visualization work in a health system or enterprise analytical context preferred.
• Experience establishing visualization standards or design systems within an analytical team preferred.
