Vanguard's Flagship & Distribution Analytics team is expanding! We are seeking an experienced data analyst to support the Flagship Client segment and the Distribution organization. This role partners closely with business leaders to design strategies, influence outcomes, and proactively surface actionable insights.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Identifies and champions opportunities to apply advanced analytical methods and emerging technologies to business problems

  • Demonstrates deep expertise in one or more technical domains (e.g., Python, advanced analytics, experimental design and execution)

  • Applies advanced analytical techniques (e.g., predictive modeling, experimentation) in a business setting

  • Partners effectively with stakeholders to consult, shape problems, and translate business needs into analytical solutions

  • Develops and manages analytical roadmaps and learning agendas to drive continuous insight generation

  • Recognized as a thought leader and subject matter expert within Data & Analytics and across business partners

Business Partnership & Problem Framing

  • Engage with stakeholders to understand business strategy, goals, and key questions

  • Translate analysis into clear, actionable recommendations for senior leaders

Analytics Product Ownership

  • Design, develop, and manage recurring reporting and analytics solutions

  • Drive best practices in data visualization and mentor others in effective storytelling

Coaching & Community Building

  • Mentor and coach analysts across the team

  • Contribute to advancing analytics capabilities through knowledge sharing and training

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of relevant analytics experience

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred

  • Strong technical expertise, including coding and application of advanced analytical methods

  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive decisions through data

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
