Job Summary:
Pedigo Staffing Services is seeking a Data Systems Analyst for the Texas Health and Human Services Commission. The role involves managing and optimizing the Snowflake platform, implementing data governance, and enabling AI capabilities while supporting data pipelines.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Understand business objectives and problems, identifies alternative solutions, performs studies and cost/benefit analysis of alternatives.
โ€ข Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing computer system:
โ€ข Confers with personnel of organizational units involved to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and learn specific input and output requirements, such as forms of data input, how data is to be; summarized, and formats for reports.
โ€ข Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer program.
โ€ข Reviews computer system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested program or program change is possible within existing system
โ€ข Snowflake Administrator responsible for managing and optimizing the Snowflake platform, including RBAC, SSO integration, and enterprise data governance.
โ€ข Enables AI capabilities using Snowflake Cortex while supporting data pipelines with DBT and Openflow.
โ€ข Ensures secure, scalable, and cost-efficient data platform operations across environments.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Strong hands-on experience administering Snowflake platform (DBA/Admin role)
โ€ข Experience implementing RBAC and data access governance
โ€ข Experience with SSO integration (Okta, SailPoint)
โ€ข Enable and support Snowflake AI (Cortex) features, including AI functions, governance, and monitoring
โ€ข Design and manage Snowflake roles, privileges, and user provisioning aligned with enterprise IAM processes
โ€ข Build and support data pipelines and transformations using DBT
โ€ข Integrate Snowflake with Openflow (or similar orchestration tools) for workflow automation
โ€ข Monitor and optimize warehouse performance, cost, and query execution
โ€ข Implement security controls including encryption, masking, and audit monitoring
โ€ข Develop automation scripts for provisioning, monitoring, and maintenance
โ€ข Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and AI teams to support data and analytics use cases
โ€ข 8 or more years of experience, relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, independently performs a variety of complicated tasks, a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
