Job description

Our Mission

To create an organization that sets the standard of excellence in the compassionate treatment of behavioral health and addiction disorders.

Who are we?

Since 2015, NovumHealth/Nevada Behavioral Health Systems (NBH) has been providing mental health and substance abuse services to residents across Nevada. By collaborating with a diverse network of experienced behavioral healthcare providers, we have built a community-based care system that offers members personalized options tailored to their individual needs. In 2023, we rebranded as NovumHealth with the expansion of our services in Arizona, California, and Utah.

Position: Director, Data Management

Location: Las Vegas, Nevada – Onsite (This role is not eligible for Remote or Hybrid)

Starting Salary Range: $130,000 per year

The starting salary range for this role is a reasonable estimate, with a goal to pay a competitive market salary focusing near the median of our pay ranges. However, final offers for all positions will be based on several factors such as experience level, education and certification, skills, and internal pay equity.

What’s the role?

The Director of Data Management is responsible for establishing and leading NovumHealth's enterprise-wide informatics and analytics function. This role serves as both the strategic architect and hands-on builder of the organization's data capabilities, creating the governance framework, reporting infrastructure, and analytic standards that support clinical, operational, financial, and value-based care performance across markets.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and partnering closely with the President, CEO, and market leadership, this position will centralize and standardize how data is defined, managed, analyzed, and leveraged throughout the organization. The Director will design and implement a scalable informatics strategy while simultaneously serving as NovumHealth's primary analytics resource, delivering actionable insights that drive operational excellence, payer performance, contract negotiations, and business growth.

This role is ideal for a leader who thrives in building functions from the ground up, combining executive-level strategic thinking with a willingness to work directly in the data. The successful candidate will establish a sustainable, high-performing informatics capability that reduces reliance on external consultants, enables informed decision-making, and positions NovumHealth to succeed in complex value-based and capitated care environments.

What you’ll do:

Enterprise Informatics Strategy & Leadership

  • Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing management of NovumHealth's enterprise informatics function.
  • Establish the strategic vision, framework, workflows, and operating model for enterprise analytics and informatics.
  • Align informatics strategy with organizational priorities and serve as a key advisor to executive leadership.
  • Build internal analytics and informatics capabilities while reducing reliance on external consultants.
  • Partner with clinical operations, finance, network development, IT, and market leadership to support enterprise objectives.
  • Support the growth and maturation of the informatics function through innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Data Governance, Architecture & Compliance

  • Establish and maintain enterprise data governance standards, including data definitions, quality controls, stewardship models, and access management.
  • Design and oversee scalable data architecture supporting clinical, operational, financial, and valuebased care initiatives.
  • Develop standards for data integration, management, security, and reporting across multiple systems and platforms.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, privacy requirements, organizational policies, and applicable regulatory standards.
  • Manage backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and highavailability strategies to support business continuity.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for data architecture, governance processes, and operational standards.
  • Analytics, Reporting & Business Intelligence

  • Serve as the organization's primary analytics resource for executive leadership, market leaders, and payerfacing teams.
  • Develop, maintain, and automate dashboards, reports, scorecards, and analytical solutions.
  • Perform recurring and ad hoc analyses related to PMPM performance, utilization trends, claims data, risk corridors, and quality outcomes.
  • Provide analytical support for payer negotiations and strategic business initiatives.
  • Create data visualizations and reporting tools that transform complex data into actionable insights.
  • Respond to leadership requests for data analysis and reporting with urgency, accuracy, and exceptional customer service.
  • Support timely and accurate reporting through proactive data management and quality assurance.
  • Data Engineering, ETL & Database Management

  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes and data integration workflows using Azure Data Factory, Informatica, or similar tools.
  • Build, execute, monitor, and maintain daily and monthly ETL jobs, including census, ENS, claims, and eligibility data feeds.
  • Develop ETL processes and integrations for new clients, systems, and data sources.
  • Validate, reconcile, and test new or modified file formats to ensure uninterrupted data processing.
  • Rapidly update ETL logic when health plans, vendors, or partners modify file specifications or data structures.
  • Manage cloudbased and onpremises database environments to ensure performance, integrity, security, and availability.
  • Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL queries, database jobs, and automated reporting processes.
  • Monitor and improve database performance through indexing, query tuning, and proactive system administration.
  • Data Operations & Technical Support

  • Provide technical troubleshooting and resolution for dashboards, ETL processes, data pipelines, integrations, and reporting tools.
  • Identify and resolve database, reporting, and data integration issues in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with IT teams, consultants, vendors, and business stakeholders to maintain scalable and reliable data infrastructure.
  • Ensure timely and accurate availability of data to support business operations and decisionmaking.
  • Document data mappings, transformation logic, workflows, and pipeline processes to support knowledge transfer and longterm maintainability.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve data accessibility throughout the organization.
  • Salesforce & Business Systems Administration

  • Administer, maintain, and optimize Salesforce Health Cloud and related business systems.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and usability within Salesforce and connected platforms.
  • Support reporting, analytics, workflow automation, and data integration efforts across business applications.
  • Policy, Process & Continuous Improvement

  • Partner with leadership to develop and maintain policies and procedures related to data governance, reporting standards, and reporting cadence.
  • Establish documentation and knowledge management standards that ensure critical information is retained within systems and processes.
  • Develop scalable, repeatable workflows that improve operational efficiency and organizational effectiveness.
  • Promote a culture of datadriven decisionmaking, accountability, and continuous process improvement.
  • What you’ll need to start:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in data analytics, data management, or informatics, including experience in a payor, health plan, or value-based care organization.

  • Direct, handson experience with healthcare data: claims, encounters, authorizations, provider, member, or clinical/quality data.
  • Proficiency in SQL and at least one BI or dashboarding platform (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
  • What will make you stand out:
  • Direct, handson experience with healthcare data.
  • Experience designing or implementing data governance standards.
  • Track record of both strategic planning and handson execution.
  • Comfort working directly with Csuite and payorfacing executives, translating data into a negotiating position or a boardlevel narrative.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud and onpremises database technologies (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL).
  • Experience with ETL tools like Azure Data Factory or Informatica.
  • Strong debugging skills under time pressure (e.g., pipeline breaks, deadlinedriven migrations).
  • Advanced MS Excel skills and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Behavioral health or Medicaid/Medicare managed care experience.
  • Experience standing up an analytics or informatics function from an early or informal state, rather than inheriting a mature one.
  • Highly organized and capable of managing multiple projects independently.
  • What do we offer?
  • Competitive Salary
  • Generous vacation policy, paid holidays, and paid sick time
  • Medical Insurance, Dental Insurance, and Vision Insurance (Employeepaid)
  • 401k Retirement Savings Plan
  • Employee Discounts through Corestream
