Location: Hybrid (3 Days Onsite) – Rochester, NY / Pennsylvania / Dallas, TX / Ohio
Employment Type: Long-Term Contract

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Solutions Engineer to join our engineering team and design, build, and support modern cloud-based data solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong engineering mindset, thrive in a collaborative environment, and have deep expertise in at least one of the following domains: Data Platform & Databricks Administration, Azure Cloud & DevOps Engineering, or Advanced Python Application Development.

This role requires an individual who is passionate about building scalable, secure, and production-ready solutions while collaborating across engineering, security, and platform teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-based data solutions and platforms.
  • Collaborate with engineering, security, and infrastructure teams to deliver secure and compliant solutions.
  • Build, optimize, and support production data pipelines and enterprise applications.
  • Participate in platform monitoring, incident response, troubleshooting, and operational support.
  • Automate infrastructure, deployments, and operational processes using modern DevOps practices.
  • Ensure platform reliability, scalability, security, and performance.
  • Continuously evaluate and implement new technologies and engineering best practices.
  • Contribute to architecture discussions and technical design decisions.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

Technical Expertise

Candidates should have strong experience in at least one of the following areas:

Option 1: Data Platform & Databricks Administration
  • Strong background in Data Engineering and cloud data platforms.
  • Experience designing, developing, and supporting scalable data pipelines.
  • Hands-on administration of Databricks, including:
    • Workspace configuration
    • Cluster management
    • Access control and security
    • Data governance
    • Performance tuning and optimization
Option 2: Azure Cloud & DevOps Engineering
  • Experience designing, deploying, and managing cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure.
  • Hands-on expertise with:
    • Azure App Services

    • CI/CD pipeline implementation
    • Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)
    • Docker and container deployment
    • Linux administration
    • Azure platform engineering and cloud operations
Option 3: Advanced Python Application Development
  • Strong experience building enterprise-grade applications using Python.
  • Experience developing REST APIs and automation frameworks.
  • Hands-on expertise with:
