Senior Data Analyst / Data Solutions Developer Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst/Data Solutions Developer in the Sacramento, CA, area. The client requires 2 days/week in the Sacramento office. Anyone out of state will be rejected. Will analyze, reverse-engineer, document, and modernize existing reports, dashboards, data interfaces, and business applications. The ideal candidate possesses advanced SQL expertise, strong analytical skills, and the ability to translate complex legacy reporting and operational systems into scalable Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) solutions. This job is open to both W-2 and C2C. This role requires a unique combination of data analysis, business process understanding, database development, reporting, UI/UX design, and application development skills. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders to understand existing systems and recreate or enhance them using modern data platforms and reporting tools. Key Responsibilities Business & Data Analysis Analyze and reverse engineer existing reports, dashboards, data extracts, interfaces, and business applications. Document data flows, business rules, calculations, transformations, and reporting requirements. Work directly with business users to understand operational processes and reporting needs. Identify opportunities to consolidate, modernize, and improve existing reporting solutions. Enterprise Data Warehouse Development Design and develop SQL-based solutions within enterprise data warehouse environments. Translate legacy reporting logic into optimized EDW structures and reusable SQL components. Develop complex SQL queries, views, stored procedures, and data models. Validate data accuracy through reconciliation and comparison against existing systems. Key Competencies: Reverse engineering and business process analysis Advanced SQL and database development Enterprise Data Warehouse design and implementation Report and dashboard modernization User interface and user experience design Analytical problem solving Stakeholder communication and requirements gathering Reporting & Dashboard Development Develop modern reports, dashboards, scorecards, and analytical applications. Recreate legacy reports while improving usability, performance, and maintainability. Build executive, operational, and ad-hoc reporting solutions. Design intuitive and visually effective user interfaces for reporting and analytics. Design and implement data-driven user interfaces and business applications. Develop forms, dashboards, workflow screens, and operational portals. Create user-friendly experiences across multiple technology platforms. Collaborate with stakeholders to improve usability and business adoption. Platform & Solution Development Work across multiple databases and application platforms. Support migration of reporting and analytical solutions from legacy systems to modern architectures. Utilize Agiline aiWorks , similar or related technologies to build data-driven applications and automation solutions. Required Qualifications * 5+ years of experience in data analysis, reporting, business intelligence, or application development. * Expert-level SQL development skills. * Strong experience analyzing and documenting existing systems and business processes. * Experience designing and developing reporting and dashboard solutions. * Ability to understand complex data structures and business rules. * Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
