These obstacles require adaptability and creative problem-solving, as well as continuous learning to update scripts and leverage the latest tools. Team collaboration is common—data scrapers may work closely with data analysts, engineers, or business stakeholders to ensure the data collected meets the project's needs. Proactively communicating and staying current with industry best practices helps data scraping specialists efficiently navigate these challenges and deliver high-quality results.

What is a Data Scraping job?

A Data Scraping job involves extracting structured data from websites or online sources using automated tools or scripts. This data is then used for various purposes, such as market research, competitive analysis, or business intelligence. Professionals in this field typically use programming languages like Python or tools like Scrapy and BeautifulSoup to collect and organize data efficiently. However, ethical considerations and legal guidelines must be followed to ensure compliance with website policies and data protection laws.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Data Scraping position, and why are they important?

To excel in Data Scraping, proficiency in programming languages such as Python or JavaScript, familiarity with web protocols, and understanding of data extraction methodologies are essential, often supported by a degree in computer science or a related field. Experience with web scraping tools like BeautifulSoup, Scrapy, or Selenium, and knowledge of APIs are commonly required; relevant certifications in data analysis or automation can be advantageous. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication help professionals successfully tackle complex data challenges and collaborate with teams. These competencies are vital to reliably gather, process, and deliver valuable data while adhering to legal and ethical standards.

Job description

THE ROLE

Compensation Intelligence Lead

Quince is hiring its first Compensation Intelligence Lead to join the Global Rewards team. This is a foundational, technical build role: you will design and construct the data systems, automated pipelines, and AI-powered tooling that power how Quince thinks about compensation - from offer to equity refresh to market benchmarking.

This role is for someone who leads with data and engineering instinct. You are energized by building from scratch, comfortable working across systems, and sharp enough to surface intelligence from complex datasets. Comp expertise is a plus - but curiosity about how compensation works and why it matters will take you far here. You will report to the Head of Global Rewards and partner closely with Talent, Finance, and Legal.

This role sits within Total Rewards and will develop broad exposure to the full portfolio - including benefits and wellness programs - over time. Success looks like: a live compensation data environment that integrates all of Quince's people systems, an automated benchmarking process that surfaces market trends in real time, and infrastructure that scales with the company's global growth.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and build custom tooling that integrates Rippling, Greenhouse, Pave, and Radford into a unified, live data environment
  • Design and deploy Quince's automated benchmarking and comp structure process, including real-time market data scraping, monitoring pipelines, and trend surfacing
  • Build and maintain AI-powered workflows that automate manual compensation processes and surface actionable intelligence to stakeholders
  • Support the annual compensation review cycle, including data modeling, system administration, and manager-facing deliverables
  • Own the monthly equity grant approval motion, partnering with Finance and Legal to execute on time and in compliance
  • Collaborate with the Talent team to scope, build, or implement an agentic offer evaluation tool that surfaces comp recommendations in real time
  • Analyze compensation data across all employee types and geographies to identify trends, surface anomalies, and inform decisions
  • Develop familiarity with Quince's broader Total Rewards portfolio - including benefits and wellness programs - to support holistic comp philosophy and employee-facing communications
  • Partner with the Head of Global Rewards on global comp strategy, job architecture, and leveling

Qualifications

Required:

  • Demonstrated experience actively building with AI tools - not just using AI-powered products, but prompting, scripting, or constructing workflows with LLMs or AI APIs

  • Experience in compensation, total rewards, or people analytics - or a demonstrated curiosity about how compensation works and a track record of picking up new domains quickly

  • Strong proficiency in data tools and scripting (Python, SQL, or similar) to build automated pipelines, custom integrations, and analytical tooling

  • Proven ability to work with large, complex datasets and translate findings into clear, actionable outputs for non-technical stakeholders

  • Experience working with HRIS, ATS, or people systems (e.g., Rippling, Greenhouse, Pave, Radford, or equivalents)

  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and building processes where few or none exist

  • Clear communication skills; able to make complex data legible to business partners across Finance, Legal, and People

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with global compensation frameworks and multi-geography pay structures

  • Experience with equity compensation administration, including grant approval workflows

  • Background in data engineering, BI tooling, or building internal dashboards

  • Prior experience in a high-growth technology or e-commerce company

  • Experience scoping or implementing agentic AI workflows in an HR or People context
