Job Title: Computer Science Lead Teaching Assistant (WS)

Wage Range: $12.00-13.00/hourย 


Description of the Position: (Purpose of the Position): The Computer Science Lead Teaching Assistants (Lead TAs) are responsible for the Computer Science Teaching Assistants. The Lead TAs prepare and run the TA training session at the beginning of each semester. They organize the TA help sessions and meet with the TAs regularly to ensure that they're providing appropriate support to the CS students. The Lead TAs also meet regularly with the Computer Science Director to discuss the work of the TAs and plan for next steps.

Duties and Responsibilities May Include:ย 

  • Prepare and run TA training sessions

  • Organize TA help sessions

  • Weekly or bi-weekly meetings with CS Director

  • Regular meetings with TAs

  • Set up and maintain CS Discord

  • Organize community-building events for CS students.

  • Other support for the CS program
