What we need:

We are seeking a Manager Supply Chain Analytics to improve forecast accuracy, demand sensing, and inventory decision-making across a complex multi-channel supply chain. This role will partner with Demand Planning, Product, Sales, Finance, and Supply Planning to build scalable forecasting models, identify demand drivers, and translate data into actionable business recommendations. Also manage the development of ordering models to drive efficient and optimized end-to-end flow of products across the supply chain from supplier to distribution center to customers.

The ideal candidate combines strong statistical modeling with practical supply chain judgment. This person should be able to move beyond building models and help the business understand why demand is changing, where forecasts are wrong, and manage, guide, and coach a team of analysts to develop end-to-end forecasting, replenishment, capacity, and flow management, and supply chain solutions.

What you'll do:

  • Develop, maintain, and improve statistical and machine learning forecasting models across SKUs, customers, channels, regions, and product families. 
  • Design, sustain, manage & improve mathematical models to build data driven decision-making systems/processes for optimizing the ordering from suppliers and enabling efficient flow of inventory across the supply chain.
  • Develop and manage the advanced replenishment and safety stock models to drive the right target inventory across assortments to improve customer Service level, Turns etc.
  • Analyze historical demand, forecast bias, promotional activity, seasonality, lifecycle events, substitutions, cannibalization, lost sales, and market signals. 
  • Build demand-sensing tools that incorporate near-term signals such as orders, quotes, backlog, POS, customer behavior, pricing, promotions, inventory position, lead times, and macro indicators. 
  • Partner with commercial teams to improve forecast assumptions, exception management, and forecast value-add. 
  • Create dashboards and decision tools that highlight forecast risk, bias, volatility, service exposure, and inventory implications. 
  • Manage, identify, and execute the best data pull, data analysis and evaluation strategies to address complex business problems via SQL, Alteryx, Advance Excel (PowerPivot & VBA), Power BI, Tableau etc.
  • Own the development of Business Intelligence tools with a team such as Power BI, Tableau Dashboards, automated report creation and distribution, Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) solutions like SSAS.
  • Identify root causes of forecast error and recommend corrective actions by product, customer, sales channel, or planning process. 
  • Support S&OP / IBP processes with analytics that connect demand plans to revenue, service, capacity, inventory, and working capital outcomes. 
  • Work cross-functionally with senior leadership across Product, Supply Chain, Fulfillment & Finance to discuss and understand key business goals, objectives, hypothesis, around current and future business issues.
  • Research, strategize, and develop analytical quantitative solutions for these business issues. Provide recommendations, guidance and actionable insights to leadership to prepare a final solution.
  • Act as subject-matter-expert in Supply Chain Planning & Advanced Analytics and provide high-level solutions. Presents the high-priority solution with leadership and get cross-functional alignment on team goals.

What you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Supply Chain, Computer Science, or related field (Master's degree preferred). 
  • 3+ years of experience in demand forecasting, supply chain analytics, data science, revenue analytics, or commercial analytics.  

What you're good at:

  • Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in own job discipline or field.
  • Recognized cross-functionally as an expert within one or two subject matter areas.
  • Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data.
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products.
  • Flexible attitude, adaptable to change, team player, and able to handle multiple projects at once.
  • High degree of professionalism, judgment, maturity, and resourcefulness in the absence of formalized guidelines and procedures.
  • Strong proficiency in PowerBI. 
  • Experience with SQL and large structured datasets. 
  • Strong understanding of time-series forecasting, regression, machine learning, model evaluation, and forecast accuracy metrics. 
  • Experience using metrics such as WMAPE, MAPE, MAE, RMSE, bias, forecast value-add, service level, inventory turns, and safety stock. 
  • Ability to explain analytical findings to non-technical stakeholders. 
  • Strong business judgment and ability to distinguish statistical noise from meaningful demand signals.

  • Temporary indirect reporting relationships may exist while working as Project lead. May be required to act in senior role, providing task related advice and direction to junior team members.
