Job Description Principal Data Engineer *** Please note, this role is not open to third party candidates or agencies and does not provide sponsorship opportunities now or in the future. This opportunity is structured as a contract-to-hire engagement with the intent for the consultant to transition into a full-time role and relocate to the client site within the next 12 months. The client is utilizing a contract engagement model to support an accelerated onboarding timeline and faster hiring process.

Capstone IT is seeking a Principal Data Engineer to lead enterprise-scale data engineering initiatives supporting eCommerce, customer analytics, and marketing intelligence platforms. This role will be responsible for designing, optimizing, and delivering modern cloud-based data solutions leveraging Snowflake, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), BigQuery, and real-time streaming technologies. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with business acumen and can partner effectively with marketing, analytics, product, and executive leadership teams to deliver scalable, data-driven solutions.

This individual will play a key role in modernizing enterprise analytics capabilities and supporting omnichannel customer intelligence initiatives.
