Political Sales Manager

FOX Television Stations

FOX Television Station s is seeking an experienced Political Sales Manager to lead and grow political advertising revenue across FOX Television Stations’ linear, digital, and Connected TV (CTV) platforms.

Based in Philadelphia, this role will be responsible for maximizing revenue from established political accounts, developing new business, and driving share across all 18 FOX Television Stations markets. The ideal candidate brings deep relationships within the political advertising community, a strong track record of delivering revenue during election cycles, and expertise across broadcast television, streaming, CTV, and digital video.

This leader will manage and develop a team of sales professionals while working closely with agency partners, campaign organizations, internal leadership, and cross-functional teams to position FTS and FLX as premier local advertising solutions for political marketers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead political sales strategy and revenue growth across FTS linear, digital, streaming, and CTV platforms.

  • Develop and execute high-impact go-to-market strategies early in the election cycle to maximize political advertising share and revenue.

  • Build and strengthen senior-level relationships with political agencies, PACs, candidate campaigns, advocacy organizations, and media buyers.

  • Grow existing accounts while aggressively identifying and developing new business opportunities across all 18 FTS markets.

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team, establishing clear revenue goals, priorities, and accountability.

  • Lead agency presentations, RFP responses, pricing negotiations, and the development and closing of high-value, multiplatform partnerships.

  • Leverage the FOX portfolio, including premium sports programming such as the NFL, World Series, and other marquee content, to create differentiated opportunities for political advertisers.

  • Partner with product, operations, research, and technology teams to leverage audience targeting, political data, campaign measurement, and reporting capabilities.

  • Analyze political advertising trends, competitive activity, and spending across key races to identify revenue opportunities and provide actionable market intelligence.

  • Maintain a strong presence within the political advertising community, including participation in key industry and political events.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate , seamless execution and delivery of political campaigns.

  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline activity, and performance reporting for senior leadership.

  • Ensure all political advertising activities comply with FCC regulations and FOX policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated success in political advertising sales, with experience in broadcast television, streaming, CTV, and/or digital video.

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding aggressive revenue targets, particularly during election cycles.

  • Established relationships with senior decision-makers at political agencies, PACs, campaigns, advocacy groups, and related organizations.

  • Minimum of 2 years of sales management experience, preferably within broadcast television, digital media, streaming, or multiplatform advertising.

  • Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to motivate sales teams and collaborate effectively with senior executives and cross-functional partners.

  • Strong negotiation, presentation, prospecting, organizational, and strategic planning skills.

  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

  • Strong understanding of television and digital audience measurement, including Nielsen and Comscore .

  • Experience with OTT/CTV advertising platforms and data-driven audience targeting is highly preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in a related field preferred.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $175, ,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
