About the Role
We are seeking a talented Data Engineer to join our growing Data Delivery team. In this role, you will design, develop, and implement modern data solutions leveraging cloud technologies, enterprise data platforms, and AI-driven innovations. You will collaborate with business and technology teams to build scalable, secure, and high-performing data ecosystems that support advanced analytics, reporting, and data-driven decision-making.
As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for creating and optimizing data pipelines, integrating data from multiple sources, and ensuring data quality, governance, and operational excellence across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data integration solutions using Azure cloud technologies.
  • Build and manage ETL/ELT processes to ingest, transform, and deliver data from databases, APIs, files, and other enterprise sources.
  • Develop data models, data warehouses, data marts, and storage solutions for structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and cross-functional technology teams to gather requirements and deliver data solutions using Agile methodologies.
  • Implement and support Azure-based data platforms, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL Database, Azure Storage, and Cosmos DB.
  • Manage source control, deployment automation, and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and Azure DevOps.
  • Ensure data platform security, monitoring, governance, and compliance standards are met.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline issues, providing operational support and incident management when needed.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to best practices in data engineering and analytics.

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience designing and developing data solutions and data processing applications.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with relational databases, SQL development, and database optimization.
  • 2+ years of experience working with Microsoft Azure cloud services (IaaS and PaaS).
  • 2+ years of experience designing and implementing cloud-based and on-premises data platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Azure Data Factory (ADF)
    • Azure Synapse Analytics
    • Azure SQL Database
    • Azure Storage
    • Cosmos DB
    • Azure DevOps
    • GitHub
    • CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong expertise in ETL/ELT development and data integration technologies such as SSIS, Informatica, Kafka, Spark, MuleSoft, or similar tools.
  • Advanced knowledge of database technologies including Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and NoSQL databases.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, Scala, or related languages.
  • Experience with DevOps practices, monitoring tools, and IT operations processes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with large-scale enterprise data platforms and modern data architectures.
  • Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
  • Familiarity with real-time data processing and streaming technologies.
  • Experience supporting analytics, business intelligence, and AI/ML initiatives.
