Experience overseeing data integrity across multiple client facing applications (preferably in banking/financial services)
Job Description:
We are seeking a Data Analyst to work on the projects focusing on the development of PIMCO's data quality program, central to the analytics of the organization in providing excellence to our clients. The candidate should demonstrate an advanced level of understanding of data quality, data architecture, data processing, and RDBMS systems. Candidate should be able to lead the data quality program, develop the testing plans, implement the test cases, monitor for data anomalies, escalate and follow up on data issues.
Primary responsibilities will include:
• Responsible for ensuring the data integrity levels of various client facing applications
• Provide a high level of data quality awareness across multiple teams
• Report development and analysis in order to find defects and propose improvements
• Work with data strategy, communications, and operations teams to drive advanced data quality governance program
• Bring a curious and inquisitive approach to solving complex data quality challenges
• Drive execution and provide automation improvements to drive efficiency
• Support development of organizational data quality to drive meaningful analytics
• Designs, develops, and analyzes the results of data queries necessary to identify data quality issues and presents results in an easy-to-understand format to end users
• Works with business stakeholders to gather requirements, conduct data profiling and track metrics necessary to monitor data quality
• Perform regression testing at critical junctions to ensure preservation of existing data integrity
• Root cause analysis
• Dataset and data process quality control
• Ensure that the highest level of system and data confidentiality, integrity and data availability is maintained
• Solves complex problems and develops innovative solutions
• Provides recommendations and plans for improvement
• Executes, maintains, and reviews data QC processes benchmarking against industry best practices
Position Requirements
• 3+ years' experience in a data quality focused role
• Extremely meticulous in approach to work
• Outstanding attention to detail
• Experienced in query optimization and performance tuning for OLTP and Date Warehouse
• Knowledge of Data Architecture (conceptual, logical, physical, transactional, dimensional, and Star/Snowflake modeling)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential
• Ability to write technical documentation materials
• Experience in banking or financial services preferred
• Working Python knowledge is a plus
