Our client, a public sector organization, is seeking an Informatics Data Analyst.

Title: Informatics Data Analyst

Location: Alhambra, CA (Onsite)

Duration: 12 months (08/24/2026 โ€“ 08/23/2027)

Pay Range: $35-40/hr. on W2


Job Description:

Support enterprise data management, reporting, and information analysis initiatives for a large public sector organization.

Work closely with business, quality, and technical teams to document data acquisition processes, define reporting requirements, and improve data quality. Develop operational and financial reports, perform data validation and quality assurance, maintain data repositories, and support data mapping and integration activities using reporting and database tools.

This role supports a fast-paced environment focused on data governance, reporting, process improvement, and business intelligence. The ideal candidate will be analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities while collaborating across cross-functional teams.


Job Functions:

  • Document external data acquisition processes, business requirements, and workflow procedures.
  • Develop, organize, and maintain operational and financial reports.
  • Compile, validate, map, and analyze data from multiple data sources.
  • Perform quality assurance for data integration processes and validate data loaded into repositories.
  • Create ad hoc reports and assist with metric definitions and reporting requirements.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities to optimize system performance and reporting efficiency.
  • Maintain data documentation and ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Support secure data transfers and coordinate with IT and security teams.
  • Utilize SQL, SAS, Microsoft Access, Excel, and Business Objects for reporting and data analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ongoing data management initiatives.


Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong SQL, SAS, Microsoft Access, and Excel skills.
  • Experience with data mapping, reporting, and quality assurance.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing and business intelligence concepts.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently and collaboratively.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in data processing, information management, reporting, or data analysis.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent experience may substitute for education.
  • California residents only.
  • Fully onsite in Alhambra, CA (Monday-Thursday, 7:15 AM-6:00 PM).
  • Live Scan/background requirements must be completed prior to onboarding.
