Position Summary

The Quality Auditor is responsible for performing visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of materials and finished products to ensure compliance with Lenovo quality standards, specifications, and procedures. This role supports manufacturing by identifying defects, conducting audits, collecting inspection data, and working closely with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to prevent defects and improve processes.

This is a hands-on, on-site manufacturing quality role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections on incoming materials, in-process builds, and finished products
  • Conduct process and procedure audits on production lines to ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Identify, document, and help contain non-conforming material
  • Operate inspection, measurement, and test equipment according to defined procedures
  • Review technical drawings, specifications, and inspection criteria to ensure product compliance
  • Collect, record, and report inspection data accurately in spreadsheets and quality systems
  • Provide feedback to Manufacturing and Engineering regarding quality issues and process gaps
  • Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement efforts using basic quality tools
  • Maintain inspection tools, equipment, and work areas according to standards
  • Ensure compliance with Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health requirements
  • Follow ESD, 5S, and clean workstation standards
  • Perform other quality-related tasks as required to support manufacturing operations

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Prior experience in manufacturing, quality inspection, or electronics assembly preferred
  • Ability to read and understand work instructions, procedures, and inspection criteria
  • Familiarity with ESD-controlled manufacturing environments
  • Basic knowledge of inspection tools and measurement equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and observational skills
  • Basic computer skills (data entry, spreadsheets)
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift manufacturing components safely

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience inspecting electronics, servers, or PC hardware
  • Experience conducting process or line audits
  • Basic knowledge of quality tools such as Fishbone (Ishikawa), PDCA, FMEA, or 8D
  • Exposure to Lean or continuous improvement environments
