POSITION SUMMARY 

The Quality Associate is responsible for ensuring outgoing parts meet defined quality standards in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment. This role supports production by performing inspections, documenting results, identifying defects, and communicating findings to ensure only conforming product is shipped to customers.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

Perform final inspection of outgoing parts using gauges, measurement tools, visual checks, and standardized work instructions.

Verify product meets specifications, tolerances, and customer requirements.

Document all inspection results accurately in quality records, logs, or digital systems.

Identify, classify, and segregate nonconforming product; escalate issues to Quality Technicians or Supervisors.

Support root-cause investigation by providing defect data, samples, and detailed feedback.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of inspection stations and equipment.

Follow all quality procedures, work instructions, and safety guidelines.

Communicate effectively with production, engineering, and quality teams regarding issues or trends.

Participate in continuous improvement efforts to reduce defects and improve flow.

Assist with in-process checks, audits, and other quality activities as needed.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 

Regularly required to walk, stand, stoop, kneel and crouch

Regularly required to reach with hands and arms, use hands to handle or feel

Ability to communicate and listen

Occasionally required to sit

Must be able to occasionally lift 35lbs.

Ability to reach to use tools and equipment for inspecting and testing 

Ability to manipulate and feel small parts for inspection

Ability to inspect small parts visually and through the use of magnifying equipment

Ability to perceive depth to set up equipment
