SCITLS Data Quality Monitoring Engineer – General Dynamics Information Technology, Offutt Air Force Base, NE.

Requisition

Type of Requisition: Pipeline Clearance – Must Currently Possess: Top Secret Clearance – Must Be Able to Obtain: Top Secret/SCI – Public Trust/Other Required: None – Job Family: Data Analysis.

Position Background

USSTRATCOM is a Combatant Command responsible for strategic deterrence, nuclear operations, and enterprise IT services essential to national security. It oversees Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications, Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations, Global Strike, and Missile Threat Assessments while working closely with other Combatant Commands, Services, and defense agencies.

SCITLS will be a key component that ensures mission success and the safety of the U.S. and its allies by providing 24/7 IT services and network support for NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICS, and SAP/SAR environments.

Data Quality Monitoring and Engineering Responsibilities

Oversees data quality initiatives, ensuring standards and requirements are met across the organization. Develops and enforces policies and procedures, manages data quality assessments, and implements quality control processes. Applies quality industry standards adhering to specific data quality requirements, policies, and procedures. Uses standard data elements and data models to perform data quality analysis to detect and prevent data defects before they corrupt databases or end‑user applications. Ensures data accuracy, consistency, and reliability by identifying and reporting on potential issues such as missing values, incorrect data types, or anomalies. Engineers data quality monitoring systems to automatically flag issues so that timely intervention and remediation can occur. Actively monitors data streams, identifying any potential quality issues and performing corrective actions.

Qualifications

Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics or a closely related discipline; 0+ years of related experience.

Required Certifications: Cloud+ or SSCP or Security+ or GSEC; ITIL 4 Foundation ITSM certification or ability to obtain within 9 months of hire.

Desired Certifications: Oracle Certified Specialist Data Guard Administration; Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP); Data Governance and Stewardship Professional (DGSP); Tableau Certified Data Analyst; Tableau Certified Associate Consultant; Microsoft Certified Power BI Data Analyst Associate.

Security Clearance: Minimum Top Secret; willing to obtain Top Secret with SCI eligibility. TS/SCI preferred.

Location and Travel

Location: Onsite – Offutt AFB, Omaha, NE. Relocation may be available.

Travel Required: Less than 10%.
