Job Summary

  • Phantom AI is currently looking for a Data QA Analyst to join our team in Mountain View, California. This role is responsible for maintaining the quality of datasets and improving how Phantom AI manages and scales its labeling efforts. You'll work closely with engineering, product, and external partners, and will be expected to use your judgment to identify issues, prioritize work, and help drive quality improvements across projects.

Responsibilities

  • Review annotated images and sensor data to ensure they meet quality standards and labeling guidelines.
  • Identify quality issues, determine root causes, and work with internal teams and external vendors to resolve them and prevent recurrence.  
  • Provide clear feedback to labeling teams, contributing to improvements in labeling tools, workflows, and guidelines.  
  • Help define, maintain, and evolve QA processes and documentation to support consistency as projects scale.  
  • Make day-to-day decisions on quality standards, edge cases, and review outcomes


Required Qualifications

  •  Strong attention to detail and ability to manage ongoing quality work with a high level of accuracy.  - Ability to learn new tools and workflows quickly and apply them effectively.  
  • Clear and direct communication skills, with the ability to work across teams and with external partners.  - Demonstrated ability to take ownership of work, make informed decisions, and follow through independently.  
  • Interest in AI, data quality, or technical systems. 
  • Interest in growing into more technical or cross-functional roles over time.


Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in data annotation or labeling within an automotive or autonomous vehicle environment. 
  • Experience working with QA processes, tools (e.g., Labelbox or similar), and supporting process improvements.
