About the Role

The Verkada Security Team is an engineering team at its core. Part of its charter is to build security and privacy capabilities for Verkada's Command Platform. This is an opportunity to create platform services that protect Verkada customers and data. The role's broad scope means you will be writing code in a variety of technology stacks and collaborating with engineering teams across all of Verkada's products.

What You'll Do
  • Partner closely with engineering and product teams to improve the security of Verkada's products and exceed customers' expectations
  • Build security and privacy platform services for Verkada's Command SaaS platform, then drive adoption of these services across Verkada
  • Expand the adoption of Enterprise-Controlled Encryption in Verkada's products
  • Collaborate with the CISO to grow the broader Verkada security programs
  • Share your security experience with other teams internally and externally via security conferences, presentations, blogs, and open source
What You Bring
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science degree or equivalent
  • 10+ years of experience as a software engineer
  • 3+ years of experience as an engineering manager
  • Leadership experience building distributed systems with high quality, scalability and reliability
  • Demonstrable coding skills and desire to write code every day
  • Enthusiasm for learning about new security & privacy products, features, and strategies
  • Excellent collaborative skills
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication
  • Must be willing and able to work onsite five days per week.
