MBL Technologies is seeking a Privacy and Data Sharing Protection Manager to oversee a workstream responsible for evaluating proposed data-sharing programs to ensure compliance with privacy and data protection requirements. The Manager will lead the team in delivering critical analysis and innovative solutions that strengthen privacy safeguards and advance data-sharing initiatives. The Manager will provide strategic leadership across the workstream—identifying opportunities to improve outcomes, guiding key discussions, anticipating risks and mitigation needs, recognizing when to pivot, and driving effective solutions for both the client and the program. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in government privacy regulations and formal approval processes.

This role is hybrid and will require two days of onsite work in the Rockville, MD or Washington, DC location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee compliance and reviews of data protection and privacy policies, assessments, privacy risk strategies.
  • Support development of privacy training materials and programs.
  • Develop and deliver privacy guidance and outreach to diverse audiences and stakeholders.
  • Lead a cross-functional workstream to track rotating privacy initiatives, deadlines, and phased implementation.
  • Support client and team to navigate and prioritize business needs, understand challenges to customers and clients, and understand workforce challenges.
  • Oversee the development and delivery of weekly and monthly reporting of the workstream team including reports, presentations, discussions, and metrics.
  • Maintain quality control for assignments including reviewing deliverables, contributing key content, managing resources to meet deadlines, and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Identify lessons learned and apply lessons learned to drive compliance, solutions and recommendations.
  • Lead/participate in the design and implementation of privacy data protection and compliance plans for clients.
  • Manage staff, participate in hiring, and support staff professional development.

Required Experience Skills & Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in leading privacy multi-workstream programs.
  • Experience supporting federal information assurance, cyber, privacy, or related programs.
  • Experience working in a legal field (preferred).
  • Exhibit a proactive, solutions-oriented approach and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information, collaborate across teams, and engage with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to understand the "big picture" and to identify and resolve key issues.
  • Ability to support a hybrid work environment, including working onsite at least two days per week.
  • BS/BA degree (required).
  • Privacy industry certification (CIPP) (preferred).
  • Public Trust Clearance or the ability to obtain a clearance.
