Project Manager II – Transmission Projects

Location: Raleigh, NC (Hybrid – onsite 3 days/week)


Overview

We are seeking a Project Manager II to support execution of large-scale transmission and infrastructure projects across the Carolinas East region. This role sits within a high-volume portfolio focused on interconnection, large load projects, and grid infrastructure upgrades. The ideal candidate is proactive, curious, and comfortable navigating complex projects with multiple stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage execution of large transmission and infrastructure projects from initiation through completion
  • Coordinate across internal stakeholders, engineering teams, and business units to ensure alignment on scope, schedule, and deliverables
  • Support planning and tracking of project timelines, milestones, and deliverables
  • Monitor project budgets, cash flow, and forecasting to ensure financial alignment
  • Identify risks, troubleshoot issues, and proactively drive solutions
  • Lead and participate in recurring project meetings, providing clear updates and action items
  • Ensure projects stay aligned with scope, value, and strategic objectives
  • Support transmission-related work including line projects, interconnection efforts (solar, battery, generators), and large load initiatives (data centers, manufacturing)


Required Qualifications

  • 2–5+ years of project management or related experience
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work across multiple teams and stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, learn quickly, and operate independently without heavy direction
