The ASME Project Manager is responsible for supporting customer needs by managing all aspects of project materials procurement and fulfillment. Additional responsibilities include coordinating the workload among Purchasing/Expediting groups.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare formal quotations which include data sheets, price calculations for customer products, etc. in accordance with specifications.
  • Estimates cost of recommended material selections. Ensure orders are consistent with quotes and review for accuracy and edit for correct data listed.
  • Builds project schedule that timelines from time of receipt, to drawing schedule, to equipment arrival at PSI, to fabrication including all services, to testing, to final assembly, to shipment.
  • Works with Planners to schedule shop floor deliveries.
  • Manages vendors on timing. Schedules all testing for final completion.
  • Submit data sheets to engineering firms/customers for review on engineered projects.
  • Partners with purchasing/expediting group to ensure deliveries and assemble customer O&M Books for job orders.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and project level details with multiple vendors.
  • Travel to Customer locations for sales and project presentations.
  • Lead project-related conference calls and interact with all third parties involved in project management
  • Analyze and recommend areas where efficiencies and advantages can be gained by DNOW and/or our client.
  • Provide reporting to project management team Schedule/Plan and Run meetings with customers, vendors, and various company departments
  • Perform various other duties, as assigned


JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years' applications experience including selection and cost, preferably in related industry
  • Process, administrative, operations and SyteLine experience
  • Excellent Communication Skills (Verbal and written)
  • Ability to negotiate skillfully, internally and externally
  • Effectively present in formal and informal presentation settings; one-on-one, small and large groups, inside and outside organization.
  • Must have current, valid driver's license and acceptable record at all times.
  • Proficient at Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Detail-oriented, organized and analytical
  • Relationship-building abilities with both customers and co-workers
  • Goal-oriented with the ability to multi-task under pressure in fast-paced work environment
  • Strong work ethic and integrity
  • Ability to travel 30%
