About this Role

NorthStar Energy Services, a Quanta Services company, is seeking an experienced Project Manager, with expereince in heavy industrial construction or data centers, to lead on-site project management and construction oversight for data center infrastructure projects in Channelview, TX. This position will play a critical role in managing electrical and I&E scopes, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring NorthStar delivers best-in-class service as it expands its footprint in the data center and digital infrastructure markets.

The Project Manager will oversee project execution from preconstruction through commissioning, ensuring alignment across engineering, procurement, and field operations. The ideal candidate has a strong background in general contracting, industrial construction, or data center delivery, with a deep understanding of field operations, scheduling, and subcontractor management.

What You'll Do
  • Lead all phases of on-site project management for electrical and I&E scopes within hyperscale and modular data center environments.

  • Develop and manage detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans, monitoring key performance indicators.

  • Review and approve change orders, submittals, RFIs, and progress documentation.

  • Manage subcontractor and vendor performance, optimizing sequencing and resource utilization across electrical, mechanical, and civil disciplines.

  • Partner with engineering and manufacturing teams to coordinate installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical and I&E systems.

  • Identify and implement cost-saving measures and process improvements to increase project efficiency.

  • Lead client-facing meetings, provide project status updates, and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Ensure adherence to safety standards, QA/QC procedures, and all contractual and regulatory requirements.

  • Support cross-site standardization initiatives to enhance repeatability and scalability in modular or prefabricated construction programs.

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related technical field, preferred

  • 7+ years of experience in project management for electrical, industrial, or large-scale commercial construction projects

  • Strong background in data center, power delivery, or digital infrastructure projects

  • Experience managing multi-trade subcontractors and complex project delivery schedules

  • Working knowledge of electrical/I&E systems, including switchgear, conduit, controls, and commissioning practices

  • Proven track record in project financial management, including cost forecasting, billing, and variance tracking

  • Proficiency with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft 365

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a field-based environment

  • PMP certification, preferred

  • Ability to travel to project sites
