Job description

Summary:
The Data Processor, Volunteer Services will perform routine clerical work primarily with the volunteer application process ensuring all federal, state, and district laws (statutes), rules, regulations and policies are in compliance.
DISTRICT EXPECTATIONS: All district employees must:
• Demonstrate regular and predictable attention to the work.
• Support the district's vision, mission, goals, and Strategic Plan.
• Engage in civility, respect, and professionalism.
• Maintain the professional knowledge and skills necessary to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of their positions.
Responsibilities:
• Is responsible for program requirements, policies, and procedures.
• Assists supervisors, directors, teachers, and business/community organizations with volunteer policies, requirements, and expectations.
• Responds to inquiries regarding application process and status.
• Possess a strong commitment to continuous improvement and efficiency.
• Supports the district's strategic plan to enhance the learning experience of students.
• Performs under the general supervision of the department manager who evaluates performance through observation of work, periodic conferences, critiques, and/or records and reports.
• Oversees timely and efficient flow of all volunteer applications and procedures, including overnight fingerprinting.
• Coordinates and provides assistance with application automation.
• Performs routine clerical work associated with data processing work methods and procedures.
• Applies independent judgement and maintain written controls to ensure the accuracy of data entry for projects/programs as assigned; produce reports.
• Develops, assists, and presents training presentations on behalf of the department, including applications and other programs.
• Operates the switchboard as directed and performs general office clerical duties as assigned.
• Meets regularly with the department manager to review assigned tasks, to gain feedback on performance, and reassess priorities, provides bi-weekly updates, and maintains shared calendar.
• Performs any other duties as assigned.
