KēSTA I.T is actively seeking a Data Warehouse Architect for an immediate contract engagement with our government client.

Job Description:

We Are Seeking a senior-level Data Warehouse Architect to develop, maintain, and enhance automated data warehouse applications within a large-scale Teradata environment. This role will support data warehouse ETL processes, data marts, queries, reporting, dashboards, and business intelligence solutions while serving as a technical resource and team lead on complex, multi-team projects. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL and relational database experience, the ability to work independently, and experience translating business and reporting requirements into effective technical solutions.

Responsibilities:

·         Develop, maintain, and enhance data warehouse applications, ETL processes, data marts, queries, reports, dashboards, and other business intelligence solutions.

·         Serve as a technical representative and coordinate team activities on complex, multi-team data warehouse projects.

·         Collaborate with data warehouse developers, data modelers, database administrators, business analysts, and stakeholders to define and implement effective data solutions.

·         Review existing data warehouse policies, practices, standards, and procedures and recommend modifications or improvements as needed.

·         Gather, review, and analyze business and technical requirements to determine appropriate data warehouse solutions.

·         Meet with users and stakeholders to clarify requirements, define problems, and develop technical approaches and implementation plans.

·         Design applications with consideration for data reconciliation, source-system accuracy, query and reporting performance, and analytical business value.

·         Work with data modelers and developers to facilitate logical-to-physical data model design based on reporting and business requirements.

·         Assist with the development and review of technical database models and ensure data elements are designed to meet application needs.

·         Analyze the potential impacts and risks associated with proposed enhancements, legislative changes, business requests, and process changes.

·         Provide technical recommendations and solutions to project teams, management, and business stakeholders.

·         Serve as a team lead by providing technical direction, code development guidance, and support to other development staff.

·         Evaluate opportunities to standardize programming processes, development practices, and technical tools.

·         Develop and maintain technical and system documentation and review documentation updates.

·         Review and approve test plans and ensure appropriate security requirements are incorporated into testing.

·         Provide input into change management procedures and ensure appropriate processes are followed for production fixes and enhancements.

·         Support disaster recovery planning and implementation activities.

·         Assist with project estimating, budgeting, planning, and technical assessments.

·         Participate in project review meetings, workgroups, and technical review sessions, providing technical clarification and recommendations.

·         Provide end-user training and technical support as needed.

·         Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including developers, analysts, management, system users, operations teams, and external partners.

·         Work independently with minimal direction while managing multiple priorities and complex technical assignments.

Required Skills

·         Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical education.

·         6+ years of experience creating data warehouse business intelligence applications, including:

·         ETL development

·         Data mart development

·         Reporting

·         Dashboards

·         Information analysis and delivery systems

·         2+ years of experience with Child Welfare Services, Juvenile Justice, Juvenile Services, or a related field.

·         Strong SQL experience.

·         Experience working with relational databases.

·         Experience developing and maintaining data warehouse ETL processes and queries.

·         Ability to analyze requirements and translate them into technical and data solutions.

·         Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

·         Ability to work independently with minimal direction.

·         Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills

·         Experience with SQL Assistant and/or Teradata Studio.

·         Experience with data warehouse environments and Teradata platforms.

·         Experience working with data modelers, developers, and database administrators.

·         Experience with Agile methodologies.
