Job Summary:
B&A is looking for a Senior Exploitation Specialist / Data Scientist to join a contract with a federal government client in support of an important mission. We are seeking a Senior Exploitation Specialist (Data Scientist) to support NGA mission operations at an Analysis Office, NGA St. Louis (N2W) in Saint Louis, MO. As an Exploitation Specialist under the GEO-SPI B labor framework, the successful candidate transforms large and complex geospatial and intelligence data into mission-ready analytic products, automated workflows, and decision-advantage tools.
This is a Senior-level (Level 4) position. The individual is expected to lead, integrate, define tasks, and validate work, demonstrating advanced knowledge and skills that have been proven in previous work. A Senior is fully capable of meeting all required services without direction, provides technical direction and quality control over lower-level personnel, advises Government leadership on processes and technology, and leads collaboration across NGA and Intelligence Community (IC) analysts to deliver synthesized analysis that is greater than the sum of its parts.
Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement scalable, repeatable processes for large and complex datasets to identify trends, insights, and analytic discoveries.
  • Script at a senior level in Python to build mission-ready solutions (experience with other languages and low-code/no-code tools such as JEMA, Brewlytics, or ArcGIS Model Builder is a plus, but Python is required).
  • Translate analytic discoveries into visualizations that are easily integrated into daily operations.
  • Provide analysis and/or data science directly supporting the intelligence mission.
  • Operate in a high-tempo environment, developing and managing multiple projects and solutions simultaneously across various stages of implementation.
  • Provide senior-level direction, quality control, and quality assurance over lower-level personnel, and lead collaboration across NGA and IC analysts to deliver synthesized analysis.

Education and Experience:
  • Experience: 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field.

Required Skills:
  • A background with intelligence experience, having provided analysis and/or data science directly supporting an intelligence mission.
  • Ability to operate at a senior level and in an independent environment.
  • Proficiency in creating processes around large data sets to identify analytical discoveries.
  • Demonstrated proficiency designing and implementing scalable processes for large and complex datasets to identify trends, insights, and analytical discoveries.
  • Ability to script at a senior level in Python (other languages and low-code/no-code programs such as JEMA, Brewlytics, or ArcGIS Model Builder are valuable, but Python is required).
  • Ability to take analytic discoveries and deliver them through visualizations that are easily integrated into daily operations.
  • Ability to operate in a high-tempo environment and develop and manage multiple projects and solutions at one time in various stages of implementation.
  • Familiarity with common Intelligence Community (IC) data repositories.

Desired Skills:
  • Coding / computer programming, data management, and data service enabling.
  • Data analytics, data conditioning, and data visualization.
  • Geomatics and remote sensing expertise.
  • Software expertise and integration across enterprise systems.
  • Written communication and intelligence report writing.
